India’s rupee should indirectly strengthen once India becomes energy independent and decrease our dependence on imports of any kind. This shall help in ‘soft dedollarisation’. Major step in that direction is reducing oil imports and rapidly increasing energy production through renewable sources. And the country is already working rapidly in that direction. It’s a win-win by also progressing on carbon neutral goal. US has asymmetric power over the world majorly due to dollar as reserve currency. In a multipolar world reserve currency should not be a reason for some country having significant upperhand over others.
