fully agreed on all fronts. I had a weird upbringing where I played Sly, Jak and Ratchet all starting from 3rd, and moving down the trilogy all by accident. It definitely affected my perception of Jak the most, as so much changed on what was the the last game in the series for me.

@@yargolocus4853 Unusual, yes, but interesting; and you got to experience some great games nonetheless.

@@pandagamist it was really unique experience in some ways, as it took a long time to get to the first game of each series. In Sly, Clockwerk was a generational arc enemy still haunting you from the grave. He had NAME to himself by the time I got to actually fight him in the 1st game (last for me) In Ratchet and Clank, it was surreal to see them meet for the first time at the end, but not as shocking as the first time reveal of Daxters mythical HUMANOID FORM!

Seriously. For me, my "Jak talks?!" was replaced by "Daxter was just a guy?!"

In an old Naughty Dog interview, it was stated that the reason they got Mike Erwin to voice Jak was because they needed an actor with anger issues, and Mike just recently played a young version of Bruce Banner in the 2003 Hulk movie.

That's actually funny lol

Nice video. Jak 2 actually does have daxter jump on Jak when he dies like he did in the first game, but for some reason it happens very rarely, and you have to die a bunch of times in a row to trigger the funny scenes.
@pandagamistАй бұрын
That probably explains why I don't remember having the funny scenes in Jak 2 lol

What I didn't realize was that cross promotion Jak and Toonami despite watching a good friend of mine play the entire trilogy (including Jak X). Still love it!🤯

I played the open goal version of Jak 1 for the first time last year and yeah its absolutely a masterpiece. I didnt really care for Jak 2 or Jak 3 tho, but I'm sure theyre alright games. Great video over all tho, you're super under rated👍

Jak 1 will always be the best imo; it had something special. Thanks for the compliment too 👍

I’m in desperate need of some Jak content these days, I just finished Jak 2 on a replay for the billionth time. And personally, 2 is my fave of the franchise. It is the hardest, no doubt no doubt and it is a tone shift that is wildly different to the first in ways that are surprising for how different they are. But I think it’s the most realised story I enjoy the challenge and how it balances vibes even if it feels like it borrowed heavily from Final Fantasy 7 in some ways. I kind of see it like precursor legacy is a prelude, 2 is THE game and 3 is like dlc 2.5

@@MrTwentington I for sure see what you’re talking about; kind of like seeing it like that now lol. And 2 for sure was the hardest, so it kind of disappointed me a tiny bit, not too much, when they made the 3rd a whole lot easier compared to the 2nd.
