Well Amir is 31, this came out when he was 28, lets say he started at 6. 4 years in 2nd grade then he passed 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th so 8 years so far when he was sent back to 2nd grade for 10 more years. Thats only 18 years, he has 4 years unaccounted for. Unless I missed some years in the video.

Also in some videos jake gets ignored by others like Dave..so he's not exactly the life of the party..Considering the stuff Amir did to him ...a sane man would apply for a restraining order ...but jake needs him..not just to boost his ego...as a friend...jake is insecure, clueless in certain areas like fashion, anything creative(writing love letters, poems, rapping, women, games etc)....he is flawed ...thats why he need amir...to correct his flaws and he does the same back...when you think about it...its really beautiful (ignoring the stabbing, shooting, biting and other abuses :P ) ..not sure if they thought of this in a psychological perspective or if we are reading over the lines...but psychologically they are dangerously co-dependent on each other ...may be thats why we love them... we all wish for a friendship like that ..deep down :)

Master Blair I think in the podcast they once mentioned how they deliberately emphasize certain character flaws that were apparent in earlier episodes. Jake did get insecure in earlier episodes (especially when other co-workers were around) but in the newer ones when they do it it's extremely obvious which makes it not as subtle which I personally don't like.
