You should totally interview Sebastian Stan...also, literally EVERYONE ELSE EVER because I could watch your interviews for the rest of all time. They're so empathetic and instructive and just...human. I like it.

Nightcrawler, The Enemy, Nocturnal animals, Brokeback mountain, Southpaw......all these movies prove that he is a wonderful and a great actor....He really deserved an Oscar for Nightcrawler

Still my favorite movie to this day. Everything from Jake's performance to the cinematography and soundtrack is still just incredible to me.

I was an extra on Southpaw, in Pittsburgh, playing an NYPD officer. There was maybe 20 of us. A couple PA's, and the AD, repeatedly went over the fact that we were supposed to wear our hats outside, no hats inside. They seriously went over this no fewer than ten times. Anyhow, they come around and grab several of us for a scene inside the "police station", which was actually an old YMCA. They seat a few of the other "cops". I'm one of the last ones left standing. The AD says, "Okay, walk from here to here", basically across the room, right in front of where the camera starts. I do that a couple times. He says "No, you need to be doing something.... I know, start with your hat on, and take it off as you cross frame". I do that a couple times. He says, yeah, we'll go with that. A few minutes later, Jake comes out, settles into his position at the other side of the room. After a few seconds I notice he is staring fire at me like I owe him money or something. If you've ever been an extra, you know you're not supposed to talk to the actors unless they talk to you first. So, I 'm standing there thinking to myself "What the hell? What am I supposed to do?". I look away, and look back. His eyes are still locked on me. That's when it hits me. It's the hat, which the AD instructed me to start the scene wearing. At this point, I realize he's probably thinking to himself, "Man, that has to be the dumbest extra I've ever seen." I took the hat off, and waited until "Rolling" to put it back on. They ended up cutting everything they shot that day, but that was a wild experience.

He does about a film each year, plus Off-Broadway and Broadway shows. He's almost always working. Did you see Nocturnal Animals? The Guilty? Stronger? All are outstanding films.

Great interview and Jake is so amazing!!. What really pushed me away from South Paw was the fact that 50 cent was in it.. once that was done, then this movie lost it’s ability to reach a higher level.

Agreed. Hard to take the film seriously with him in it. It’s puts it in fast and furious category, luckily it was somewhat small role. Eminem was slated to play the main role.
