What about Christian Bale? He went from extremely 'risk of health' skinny to buffed up months after for Batman Begins. In fact, he put on too much weight that some people said "We want Batman, not Fatman" so he then had to lose a few. Christian Bale is the king of body transformation. I think it was Nolan that said that he was not confident that Bale could increase his weight back up to where it needed to be in time for filming Batman but another crew member convinced Nolan that Bale was the man for the job and that he will be ready for filming.

God stop being so dogmatic guys. The line between sociopath and psychopath is blurred, but they're on a scale based on lack of empathy and manipulative capabilities. Psychopaths display no/almost no empathy; sociopaths will display some. I would say that Lou Bloom's character was a psychopath. He doesn't show empathy for anyone in the movie. Find me one moment where he cares about anything other than himself and his career, he's a supreme narcissist: the bedrock of psychopathy. People tend to think, wrongly, that psychopaths are murderers and rapists. They can often be hard to distinguish until you know them.

*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!* During the final moments of the movie, I had grown a hatred towards Lou Bloom (which I love the movie for making me feel so strongly towards a character like that). However, the particular scene where Lou tells his partner Rick to film the black SUV after the crash and instilling comfort within Rick that the guy inside was dead only to have him get shot three times had solidified my feeling of disgust towards Lou. Gyllenhaal did a fantastic job in slowly descending his character into the darker depths of the human psyche. During the final minutes of Rick's death, it had took me by surprise at how Lou had stooped so low and was so insensitive towards his partner that he sold him out for his financial gain. While a part of me had seen it coming, I was still hoping for a camaraderie between Lou and Rick. In the end, this movie truly brought out the disgusting and insensitive sides of these so called "stringers" and how they operate.
@ryanscottnix9 жыл бұрын
*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!* PCLOVER93 Another moment that stood out in that scene was when the shooter and Lou were just looking at each other. They shooter didn't fire at Lou, like he had had pretty much everybody else, but instead went on his way. For me, it was one of those moments where "evil recognizes evil," and they were in harmony. I'm also sad that in Rick's last moments of life, he was talking about his business ethics. Not being comforted, not saying anything important... It was just Lou justifying what he had done, and showing no emotions. Rick's last words were also, "I don't know." Really a sad moment in the movie. And like you, I completely saw it coming!!! When he went up to the car, I was like "OK, he's dead."
