New Girl somehow became one of my favorite shows to where I roll through every season front to back over and over and I have one earbud in just listening to it and watching it all the time and his character Nick is one of my favorite characters from any show ever. 43:00 this episode is fascinating from a therapy/trauma perspective. both andrew and and jake describe their childhoods and mothers as displaying very strong narcissistic behavior, possibly bordering on NPD. I wonder if there's a correlation between comedians or comedic actors and childhood trauma with NPD, due to the extreme sensitivity around people's moods, and having to develop skills around navigating them successfully, which in turn is a necessary skill for doing standup.
