“Weird choice for a best friend” I fuckin lost it lmaooooo

It's pretty funny to think about it, but honestly it works out that way a lot! My best friend has some sort of weird Bert mannerisms growing up, and I was more reserved (relative to him, not most people). Listened to the weird rants. The insane ideas. The appeal is that it's hilarious, but at the same time you know they're a caring person. It's definitely an opposite attract friendship. I'm sure I'm not the only one

Damn big ups for Anthony pointing out the truth on the McD's coffee case. That lady's skin melted the coffee was so hot. McD's knew they had an issue with it but decided that the potential profits from selling overly hot coffee outweighed the potential loss if found liable in a few individual cases per year. That's why she got the big judgement. The deal w/ the hot coffee is two fold: 1. They assumed people would wait until they drove home before drinking coffee, and didn't want people complaining it was lukewarm. and 2. Studies had shown that people think hotter coffee tastes better...stale coffee is masked at hotter temps.

about the ones in japan, its very compicated the people being pranked are aware that they are going to be pranked, they just not know how, usually in japan an agency owns shows and the people appearing are not hired for gigs they are part of the agency and all the jobs they can take are from that agency. Basically imagine if Conan had a call : hey show up this place that time and the impractical jokers are going to prank ok ?

This was a really solid episode. Tom is really shining when having on good guests in this format. Like comparing this to JRE? Tom really holds up 1 side of a convo, jeselnik wasn’t too shabby either lol.

I think America is so litigious because American companies started doing the calculus on whether a lawsuit was going to be more expensive than doing the right thing.
@TraeSMR3 жыл бұрын
This is absolutely the case. Plus the high cost of entry for the average person to pursue a lawsuit vs a large company or international corporation for something like not being fully paid out on your time card or being fired for federally protected reasons.

Many of those same companies exist in Canada and their mode of doing business is identical yet we aren’t so petty and litigious

Probably has more to do with lack of universal healthcare in america verse other countries. Can't really sue for medical costs if they are covered by the government.
