Realistically this is Tommy's first fight where there is a possibility of him losing his cool. My biggest gripe with his fights to date has been that he is often too respectful. Touching gloves every round and at times looking scared to let his hands go! No idea how it does here. If he loses his composure OR does it enable him to swing and HURT the other fighter. JP winning would make it funny. Tommy winning adds nothing.
@marcustulliuscicero9140 Жыл бұрын
I mean the touching gloves thing is normal if you're fighting journeymen, especially in his first fight as Andreevs is a notorious can (don't get me wrong, Andreevs is good at not getting knocked out, and could fight at one point given he knocked down Tony Bellew). Letting his hands go would be a mistake as he's got the Fury long arms which means his jab is his best weapon.
@jonathanhughes5876 Жыл бұрын
@@marcustulliuscicero9140 Totally agree, mate. His reach is incredible. The jab will be the basis of his success (if he has success). At this point, for me, I'd have expect him to come out swinging against some of the lesser journeyman. Especially when he hurts them. Its a chance to create a buffer on his resume and also amass some hype. On the flip side, he has more to lose. This is where i was trying to make my point, I think this is the first fight that has some "story" to it. A chance for the mind games etc. This is a headline fight and needs some pantomime drama 🤣🤣🤣 Not sure if a "Gloves Off" is planned but providing it is done by a boxing pundit and not a YT pleb celeb it could be telling as to where both fighters are mentally. JP is very static and I'd imagine TFs jab will keep him at bay for the majority of this match.

Ive said since the beginning Tommy wins this easy but as time went on it turned into a 50/50 only cause of the hype with jake. Now that I’m watching tape on both guys and really looking into the fight, Tommy got this easy man. Jake Paul is just too sloppy and guys like Woodley that can work but I think come Sunday Tommy puts on a clinic. The only way I see jake winning is if the pressure gets to tommy and he just freezes.
@iTzCorey Жыл бұрын
Tommy can easily beat Jake Paul if he boxes him and jabs his face off for a few rounds then pick up the pace but from i have seen Tommy's gameplan is instant pressure from round 1 and looking for a early KO...which is the worse gameplan you can have agaisn't someone who cant box but can crack a right hand so they're playing right into Jakes hands, also judging Jake vs Silva is pointless as Silva just messed around and didn't even try half the time. Jake can't really box too well he only has the right hand and he also tires quickly, Tommy needs to just box Jake and jab his face off and tire him then look for KO shots but if Tommy comes in trading with Jake i see him getting caught to be honest, only way Jake wins this fight is if he catches Tommy with a lucky right hand which is possible as Tommy is very hittable when on the attack.

They may not be names in boxing but a couple of the guys fury has fought were better boxers than woodley and silva and would have beat them easier than jake did. The skill gap is too big

Great breakdown, but I think Jake's goal is not to beat tommy at all it's having half of the world as followers and making buckets of money. He found a lane where he can achieve that. I can't get away from the thought that Jake has only fought MMA fighters who just aren't boxers. I recently saw a video where a tall, well built, fit young man who could fight, got in the ring with a little old guy about 70 in a cardigan. The old guy knew how to box and literally battered the young guy round the ring with the fight having to be stopped within one round. If Tommy boxes Jake then he wins but if he comes out pressuring and on the attack from the get go then he'll get caught with the right hand, its so obvious that Tommy's weakness is defence and is very hittable so i have no doubt Jake lands the right at some point its more a question of what happens to Tommy when he does, no way this fight goes 8 rounds without Jake landing a single hard punch its just gonna happen, also people have came out saying Tommy hits like a heavyweight...he could 100% KO Jake but Tommy doesn't connect flush like Jake but Tommy is looking for a TKO or KO he doesn't want a decision and he's already said his gameplan is to pressure from round 1 and get a KO so i think he's falling right into Jakes hands.

Keep doing what your doing, not everyone is gonna like you or agree with you, but enough of us out here love what you've got to say.

It's Interesting that the Bookmakers (WH) have Jake as favourite at 1.73 and Tommy at 2.37 Really hoping 🤞Jake gets the Win 🥊 I'm really looking forward to it either way

Jake drops his right hand every time he throws the WEAK jab, he is also looking away at times.. for a pro this is easy territory... This should be an easy night for Tommy.. however I question Tommy's desire.. had he been fully focussed on boxing instead of TV and modelling etc.. he would be much higher profile than he is now.. Having said that.. Tommy hasn't been knocked down or wobbled and was fighting with heavyweights from a young age.. he can take a shot! Jake has only the (very predictable for a pro) Right hand Tommy only needs to circle right and he avoids the right hand.. Unless this fight is Rigged its fun for a few rounds and Tommy boxes his ears off. Jake has not taken any punishment in all them fights and Tyrone (who is a small bloke naturally) woodley only threw 4 jabs in the first round and hardly punched at Jake! Tommy is gonna pressure him and not give him the space to launch/lunge with those punches... Having said that.. if Tommy lost this.. he needs to quit lol Most people are going for the most popular person and the man who boasts the loudest.. this is the KZbin mentality.. a boxer/fighter sees what's in front of them.. and doesn't listen to empty words..

Like you said if Jake puts Tommy Fury on the back foot and pressures him to find openings then Jake easily wins this but even if they box Jake would still beat him

The problem with Jake is that all he does is waits for his opponent to come in and land a big right hand. His footwork is terrible, his range finding is terrible, his jab is terrible.. Up to now all the people he has fought have just walked into range and he’s thrown the big right hand. The MAJOR difference in this fight is Tommy isn’t going to just waltz into range like he’s on a stroll on the beach. He’ll creep in behind the jab and lay a solid right hand of his own straight down the pipe. I honestly can’t see a single way Jake wins this. But I guess we’ll see in a few hours time…

Realistically other than they are both pretty poor it’s not dissimilar from wilder fury. You have one guy whose fundamentals are awful and has a right hand, the other better fundamentals. Although he isn’t anything like his brother. The only chance Jake has to win is ko/tko. Fury should box his ass back to Disney. But you honestly never know

I see Tommy knocking out Paul. Maybe if Fury is really poor then Jake can get through it. No way on Earth Paul wins though.

Where did you see that? In the 4 months between the Silva (end of Oct) and Tommy (end of Feb) fights, Jake has been in camp for 3 of those months. I don't know if that's enough time for him to have properly fixed his deficiencies (jab, footwork, head movement).

3:37 if you pause it right here, you can see that Jake is WIDE open for a left uppercut or a thundering left cross. If he does this punch with his hand all the way back in the old Team10 house, he's going to sleep.

Tommy fighting Jake is like fighting a boss in a video game when your one 1% health tommy has the pressure being a fury, doing this longer, and this being the biggest fight of his career so for plus the Jake paul mind games with all of this I hope tommy is preparing for this fight like honing his defenses against the rights hand 🫤

Both are average fighters but I’m curious to see who takes who’s power better? I’m wondering if Tommy can hurt Jake and same with Jake hurting Tommy. But I’d lean towards Tommy if he uses that jab with his 80 in reach he could cause Jake to try and rush in to shots

Finally some analysis from someone who actually fights and watches fights analytically. I swear we've had the worst takes on this fight. The worst gotta be from Dave Portnoy on Joe Rogan who said "Tommy doesn't even look like a fighter". Dude eats pizza for a living, he has no idea what a fighter looks like.

Imo Tommy needs to out jab Jake and be better with his footwork head movement try to box move and counter punch. Imo for Jake to win needs to use his combinations and body attack forward pressure to break him down I think Jakes in better shape to push the fight and drown him to stop him in the later rds. It’s either Tommy on Points or Jake mid to late rd stoppage. I favor Tommy but won’t be shocked with a Jake win.
