How can you not love Jake? It's never "I." Always "we." Never boasts. Always modest. Respected the Utah cornerback who committed the holding penalty. Jake didn't have his best game against the Utes, but got the job done when it mattered. His recalling the Cougar QB traditions was a walking, talking recruitment ad for BYU. He uses his platform to represent his school and has helped BYU become one of the best sports stories in many years.

It’s because it’s a false equivalency. The holding call was a legitimately good call. The phantom facemask was a bad call. You only remove credibility from the holding call by comparing it to a bad call earlier.

Taysom wasn't ever healthy enough to get to be in the conversation for qb lineage, which sucks. He probably would've been our second Heisman winner in 2014 if he didn't break his leg. Sark definitely deserves to be in here though.

It was a hold but it was 50/50 at that point in the game because they had only called one pass interference call the whole game that what Joe klat said and I was at the game it was stupid that the farthest red away from the play through the flag becuses there was a line ref right there where the play happened but the games over y’all should have lost but it what ever but y’all will get steamed roles by any team in the 10. @ hahahaha. Two quick points: (1) it wasn’t away from the play, retzlaff was zeroing in on him. Watch the short I made. You can see him staring down the receiver who was held. (2) Joel Klatt made that statement without seeing the angle that my short shows, which is the angle the ref had. It was not a 50/50, therefore, with all respect to Mr. Klatt, that hold gets call 100% of the time, he ripped him down when the WR cut out and then held his arm around the WR. Clearly a flagrant hold which should be called independent of precedent because it is so blatant, textbook, and came at a crucial moment. I understand your crumbling program needs all the doses of coping it can get. Have fun not cheering for your team and only being anti-BYU fans again. Maybe spend some time trying to stop people from jumping in the transfer portal. Utahs glory days, that culminated in two Rose Bowl losses, are over. Welcome back little bro.
