Not everybody needs to be a crazily good singer to bring emotion and musicality. This guy is a great example of this. Confidence is key! When you are a true musician and music lover, you could see though the imperfections in his singing voice.

Sounds like Sketch Cassette plugin. It’s just some sorta tape-ish warble. I’d dare to say it could definitely be something like that. Sketch Cassette will probably get you there.
