Joe B’s takes are as old and tired as he is. When they come for him with a straight jacket he’ll be wailing away about bringing Rex and Tanenbaum back as well as rebuilding Shea stadium.
@vincedidiana578120 сағат бұрын
I’m a die hard Bears fan who grew to like the Jets as well when I lived in NY for work. Guys, it’s pretty simple and boils down to one major theme- ownership. The people doing the hiring are inept. I’m talking about both franchises. We may get lucky on occasion and have a decent/good year, but to ever be a consistent winner, ownership needs to change. And unfortunately for both franchises, I highly doubt that happens any time soon. The Bears need a new head coach, and the Jets need an overhaul with GM/coach. Like Mr. Beningo says, oh the pain.

I disagree with JoeB in the beginning when he said the Jets and Bills 4th down was the same. It’s different when you have a 6’5” 260 pound beast in Josh Allen on 4th down. Aaron Rogers would have done nothing but hand that ball off. The FG was the right play. You go up by five. Colts still needed to go the length of the field to score a TD. If Apple Sauce Gardner doesn’t dunce out and free release his man then maybe the Colts don’t drive it the length of the field.
@alm0stevil3316 сағат бұрын
mahomes and herbert and lamar and goff and stafford and stroud and love are going for that too. it comes down to trusting your qb or trusting your defense. this defense STINKS, and is historically terrible at coming up with a stop to close out the game
@seeatlanta140815 сағат бұрын
@ If the Jets don’t make it on 4th down, you give the Colts an even shorter field than they had to for the go ahead TD. Now the roles would have been reversed in that the Jets would have to go the length of the field to score a TD. Even though both sides of the ball stink like you mentioned, I’d much rather have the Jets D going against what we thought was a subpar Anthony Richardson.
@alm0stevil3315 сағат бұрын
@@seeatlanta1408 we werent stopping the colts offense regardless of how far they had to drive. If we get the 1st and score a TD the game is over regardless of our trash defense. Look at josh allen and the bills vs KC. same situation and they went for it and scored a TD and iced the game. didnt give mahomes a chance to drive it down the field for a td and win. Thats a winning team decision vs losers like the jets. We play to not lose rather than win , its pathetic to watch
@Cyclone-l7x20 сағат бұрын
This team, any team, needs a foundation before they start thinking about a QB. Games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage. Build an O line so you can run the ball and control the clock. This makes your QB better and keeps the opposing team offense on the sidelines. Starting with the QB doesn't work if you O line can get a first down or protect the QB.

Kicking the field goal and expecting your defense to keep a rookie QB out the endzone is correct move, especially for a defensive minded coach. Thinking otherwise is that Jet fan delusion we all suffer from. Consider how bad the Jets have been on 4th down this season.
@brrk771022 сағат бұрын
The jets missed their window - usually defenses stay top 1-3 years at most… at that point with decent Qb play we would have made deep post season run… now AR saying they target 30 pts for the win…but certainly didn’t help had 10 yards passing with 3 mins left in half - lots of strain on defense ..
@stanfromwestport202421 сағат бұрын
JETS game and the season are represented by two defensive plays: The first when Sauce was beaten on the underneath crossing pattern and futilely grasps air in trying to tackle Pittman, I believe. The second was Colt's QB Richardson absolutely decimating and destroying Jalen Mills at the goal line for the TD. The point is that the JETS are physically overmatched defensively in every game they play

The biggest difference for Sauce this year compared to his first 2 is the offense was so bad the first 2 years teams just didnt attack him because they didnt need to. This year the Jets are scoring more points therefore the game plan from the other team is way more aggressive. And because of that the defense has been exposed as average at best and Sauce is the main guy thats gotten exposed as teams air it out. Jets playing 17-14 games usually losing in years past protected the defense, clearly, and now that the offense is scoring in the 20s teams are coming at them and nobody is avoiding Sauce.

Its peak Jets cope to cling to the past about the kicking woes. There are plenty of teams who not only won Superbowls, but at the very least made strong postseason marks, with suspect players on various units on the whole team. Great teams overcome their deficiencies, not claim its the entire reason for their loss. The Broncos defense drug Peyton Manning across the finish line in their Superbowl winning year and thats the QB position. Aaron Rodgers with a talented receiver core and a supposedly top10 defensive roster can't drag a shitty kicker through some wins? Get real. The Jets sucked from Game 1, it just took 5 games before anyone could admit it.
