InFamous 1 in particular is the one that needs a remake because it is ridiculously dated in this day and age. InFamous 2 could work as well but a remaster seems more appropriate. The least Sony can do is port the damn games on PS5 and probably PC.

Clair Obscur tops my list absolutely! Also some triple AAAs like Ghost of Yotei and long, LONG awaited titles like Lost Soul Aside. Plus revivals for things like Ninja Gaiden, and a whole breadth of indies from Ender Magnolia in just a couple weeks to Skate Story to maybe even Hades leaving early access, that seems feasible too. Plus same as you said, I’m always excited to see what comes out of nowhere and surprises us

I've been looking forward to Skyblivion since it was announced when modding was basically being invented. Seriously, I think we all were still playing Legendary Edition when the idea first was being bounced around. Finally this year it's to be a thing. I'm excited to play other things and happy there are other things coming, but this is the thing that has my attention and excitement.

I want to get through some of my backlog. Started working on sorting my Steam library between games that I want to finish, games I like but dont want to actually roll credits on, and trash i never want to play again. If its a game I dont already know for 100% that I want to play through it, I install it, play a bit, and sort it from there. Made it through all the A's so far. Onto B! Only about 647 games left to sort. And then the real fun can finally begin!

Astro Bot was my very last game to play in 2024 and Astro's Playroom was my very first game to play in 2025. For me, the only thing I am excited to see is Resident Evil 9. I am soo desperate to see what the game is gonna be because I love this franchise a lot and 2024 was the very first year with zero releases of it.

I 100% agree about DooM. I loved 2016 but eternal had a bit too much going on for me to ‘love’ the balance of power fantasy and challenge. I’m hoping dark age goes back to a more straight run and gun loop honestly

i don't know how you people doubt Playground Games like this. PG is by far Microsoft's greatest game studio, so there really is no reason to believe Fable will be anything less than fantastic. also Hazelight did not make Brothers. Fares directed it but then moved on to found Hazelight AFTER.

I’m hoping the new mafia game will be good I love the setting and previous games but I’ve also felt a fully fledged open world does more damage than good to these games. I hope the more linear open? Style helps narratively and furthers immersion of being in that world.

i have KCD2 preordered for my ps5 pro. been working on completing KCD in preparation. absolutely love the world and characters. also it's super rare to see more CryEngine games so i'm down for that. Honestly don't know when Crytek's releasing a new Crysis. they put out that teaser years ago and keep thinking we'll see it at a Game Awards show reveal

Of the ones you mention, I’m excited for Ghost of Yotei and Judas, you missed one I’m really excited for: The Outer Worlds 2. I really liked the first game, despite the rushed ending that felt like the developers ran out of time or money, but I think there’s a lot more potential in that solar system, and I look forward to what Obsidian brings to this second big outing.

Hey Jake, let's talk Tony Hawk Pro Skater. You made me wonder what a pro skater live service would look like. I'm thinking of a tournament mode with all skaters sharing a course. You'd have, maybe say, four 3 minute rounds. After each round, eliminate some low scoring players and move on. Maybe even switch courses but i think redoing the same course with previous knowledge of its layout sounds cool. And if you see someone's score multiplier above their head, then you could decide that breaking their chain is a strategic move to make. I'm throwing ideas out there, but I really wanna know how you envision a Tony Hawk style battle royal or live service would look? Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy hearing you talk about video games!

The games I'm most looking forward playing as of right now are : Bleach Rebirth of Souls(finally Bleach anime might get a good video game, not just Dragon Ball and Naruto), The First Berserker: Khazan (looks like an interesting berserker fantasy game, I don't remember many games digging into that) Mandragora (feels like AAA Metroidvania, like Ori games or No rest for the wicked) And I wonder how Nintendo Switch 2 launch is going to turn out as I'm looking to get into Nintendo's ecosystem.

Monster Hunter Wilds is the big one for me but besides that there's Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, First Berserker: Khazan, Avowed, Showa American Story, Mecha Break, Crimson Desert, Pathologic 3, Wuchang and Elden Ring: Nighreign. Not sure if Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Judas are next year or not but looking out for those as well. 2024 was one hell of a year for vidya and 2025 looks just as good atm.

Konami didn't change or add or improve anything, they say people who want to play but couldn't cause of old graphics can play this game right now but also say don't wait nothing more than original have.

I'm also quite excited for Doom The Dark Ages, Metal Gear Solid Delta and Mafia The Old Country. Other than those I'm looking forward to the next Yakuza game in February, Slay the Spire 2, Dispatch seemed interesting from the TGA teaser, Outer Worlds 2 has me excited and should be releasing this year (hoping they improve the systems of the original game) and then there's the Dragon Quest I&II remakes coming this year which I have faith in after playing the Dragon Quest III Remake last year.

I'm really looking forward to the Gothic Remake and Anno 117. I think both don't have a release date yet, but I would be very surprised if they don't release this year (at least when it comes to Gothic). The first two Gothic games are among my favorite RPG and I really hope they nail the remake.
