One of my very favorite Tom Waits song. I used to listen to it religiously. Something quite perfect about the ebb and flow of it. :) Here's to you Tom Waits!

Must have been over 40 years ago l bought a cassette tape called Blue Valentine l never heard of him but liked the name. He’s been a good friend ever since. His music opens doorways into your heart and soul. An incredible writer and poet. His lyrics are extensive and phenomenal. Christmas card from a hooker…, my favourite

I saw that when it had a release in Melbourne in the 1990's with my late wife. Such a disturbing film. We hated the bits where they tortured the cat. We were both already familiar with Tom Waits though. I didn't find a copy of "Frank's Wild Years" until about a year since she past. I only looked for it because of this the song, but You're Innocent When You Dream is a banger. I found a torrent and downloaded the film many years later. It's still horrible.
