I was a competitive rifle shooter for 30 years (highpower service rifle and smallbore), Bassham's book "With Winning in MInd" did more to make me competitive than any other training that I did. You still need to master the fundamentals, but after that, the difference between winning and losing is all about the mental game. Best mental training book ever.

I think about stabilizing the sight on the target, smoothly drawing through the clicker and Kate Upton.

i repeat'..." pick a spot, follow thru' over and over which ends up 2-3 times. The "pick a spot" comes from 35 years of bow hunting and 3D targets cause there isn't a bright yellow 10 ring and if u shoot at the whole animal or even vitals, u will make a terrible hit,...even if the shot was good....execution wise. by doing this it also divides the process of aiming and release from the draw and anchor cycle....helps a ton to avoid target panic too

I'm definitely a feeling person. I feel the arrow passing through the clicker and the vibrations of the steel over the point.

Usually I'm thinking about the cold beer I'm going to have at the bar in the clubrooms after the shoot is finished..... not really just focussed on the spot I want to hit..

Jake, what about a sound coupled with a thought or image?

Hey Jake, first of all great video, as always. I really think I can make use of this. But I have another problem. My sigth is very far on the rigth, so much That I almost can't see it anymore behind my riser and I have no idea how to change that. My arrows are the spine they should be regarding to Easton spine shart and the bareshaft also lands rigth in the group. My center shot is also adjusted well. Do you have another idea on how to change that? Thanks in advance and best regards from Germany. Stay safe!
