Hi jake wonderful arrangement of a great Journey song...This would be a great arrangement for you to do a full lesson on, I for sure would buy that..Until then I will try learn the intor as you showed so good this evening. So beatiful harmonies there...Journey really has some of the greatest melancholly songs dont they...By the way you being in Detroit...How about doin a full lesson and arrangement on "Dont Stop Belivin" you know..."Just a city boy born and raised in south Detroit"...You would think that many did fingerstyle lessons on that but I have only found two and one of them is to hard for me to learn and the other one I dont really like the arrangement so...I like your arrangements on most the stuff you do , to not say all..cause you seem to find every songs inner soul in some way...Anyway I hope you do lessons on some more Journey songs like "Lights" "Wheel in the sky" "Faithfully" or by the way why not the new song by Steve Perry "No Erasin" great song and the first hes done in 24 years.. Ok I wont write a book here so I say thanks for this great arrangement and lesson from your former home of Sweden..Cheers and hope you get a great weekend../Micael

haha! if anyone can do it,it's you,man! but there's ony one scott walker,and i don't even know how to describe what he does... how about 'dead meat' by sean lennon,-really that kid has done some great,great songs- dang,i love how you can do that,and with any song,practically! but on the other hand it doesn't make me feel very good about my own abilities...it's a two-edged-sword..

Awsome again Jake question? Is it harder to write the arrangement or learn the song? At this point it doesn't seem anything is difficult for you. Like on Searching for Bobby Fisher you get all the master class points! Thanks for sharing as always,
@JakeReichbart8 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! At this stage I kind of speak the language of solo-guitar-arranging so if I already know a song, it's not too hard to improvise an arrangement, usually on the spot. Although, in this particular case, I definitely spent a bit more time to make the different parts work together and then practice the different passages...

Jake that was off the freaking charts as far as I'm concerned. My old teacher William G. Leavitt who was the head of the Berklee College of Music guitar department when I went there from 1972-76. Needless to say, he would be proud of that chord arrangement as he loved to play and write them too. As he was a great arranger and of course he taught me a few tricks that have helped me as a player over the years especially on tunes when their wasn't a Keyboard player in the bands I was gigging with. Anyway, just to let you know I really loved the tune and many of the other's that you have arranged for your style of playing. Just incredible...please keep up the work as it's greatly appreciated to my ears. : ) Terry
