This one is my favorite. It's a beautiful work of art, the gears really made it. I think most of you knife makers do amazing jobs on these channels. The quality alone stands out, you guys work hard to make them perfect as possible, come up with unique designs, and materials... Truly one of a kind knifes. I wish I had these kinds of skills. This sword is just fucking gorgeous!

All new smiths should watch these videos. We always hear about how HF anvils are garbage and this shows what can be done with one. Sure the equipment may make things easier, but the amount of craftsmanship you have shows that skill and creativity can produce amazing things with whatever equipment you may have. Nicely done.

i see you edited out the sound of the hammer hitting, i loved that. thought it was pretty cool. awesome sword tho! i love watching these, been studying how to get into it
@jacobbenns60906 жыл бұрын
As a blacksmith, in my experience, all you really need to start is something to use as an anvil, this can be anything metal and heavy, tongs to hold the metal, a hammer, something that gets the metal hot, also known as a forge, and there are umpteen thousand tutorials for that on KZbin, and a hacksaw and a metal file, plus oil to quench blades in and a bucket of water for safety.

I would add some type of handle out of paracord or maybe leather straps because that would hurt like hell to put a lot of pressure on with all those notches digging into your fingers, but it looks straight out of a Mad Max movie

Nice. I would also like one more of this with a blade that has wide polished edges, like 1/3 of the half, and a rough looking center with a grainy, black oxidized texture, like the handle.
