Crack me up each time he says AFAS, instead of SFAS. He is giving great advice on the mindset that you need to develop through your training in order to tackle selection by crushing it and not simply passing it. My experience in the Army exposed me to those that sought to elevate themselves in order to be part of a very select few. Some go for the right reasons and others don’t. I believe that in order to be successful you must condition your mind to have faith in your physical conditioning, no matter how much it may suck. That is why you have to push harder in order to build that faith.

My uncle was a Ranger then SF in the early 90s. He told me in RIP, they had multiple guys who could run a 5 mile time in 25mins consistently. And throughout SF Q course and RIP, his 2 mile time was 12:30 give or a take a little. And that was common back then. Crazy to see how much more competitive it is now.
@shebby2525 Жыл бұрын
Your uncle is full of shit. A lot of guys blow up the facts about their military experience and he is for sure one of those people. I will tell you right now, some of the most competitive times you will see are anywhere in the army are from 30-32 minutes. And no matter where you are in the army, a 12:30 2-mile run exceeds the max standards.

Came across your channel on KZbin shorts, it is refreshing to see the no BS mentality. Hearing some of the stories where candidates self-select or have a failure in mentality is almost as baffling as the people with college degrees going enlisted. Show up, perform, and tell yourself "I was made for this shit". That mentality got me through RASP twice (broke my legs the first time so I had the luxury of spending 10 months in pre-RASP and RASP) and a mechanical engineering degree with honors.

Find a good boxing school, Muay Thai or Krav Maga Universal school. I disagree emphatically about BJJ being great for a street fight. You go to the ground, and his friends pounce upon you, or you get stabbed or shot by the dude trying to get away from you.

Hey man how many street fights you been in?
@jakezweig Жыл бұрын
@@philipdru9290 ok I ask you a simple question. Not how many fights have you seen? Where you have been what you have as belts. But how many street fights have been in. The reason I ask is I have a ton and the all all of them end on the ground. Even the last fight I have lost in the 7th grade end on the ground and your right his brother kicked me in the face and ended the fight. Hit the ground do fatal to crushing damage and get back on your feet fast. Knifes yup guns yup. Seen those also, those are always bring a gun and never be carried by 6 by judged by 12

@@jakezweigyes sir. You’re right. I think the percentages of a fight going to the ground is 85%. Jiu Jitsu has been proven to be the most effective. Great channel bro. New sub.

How tall is this dude. Why all short dudes. Feel need to prove something. And if they do. They never fail to remind everyone until death. Be a 90 yr old bragging about accomplishments that turned out worthless. Just look at our government. How can anyone serving it not be ashamed.
