Johnny Mac is wrong. It is a coaching loss. I'm tired of our coaches, whether Pederson or Sirianni, not taking the points when they're available. WHY wasn't a field goal kicked earlier in the game to put us up 3-0??? This was a first quarter loss. We wouldn't be talking about Saquon in the fourth if we had a larger cushion. We could have just drained the clock. Aggression is admirable, but not if it causes us to lose winnable games.

Yeah, you can still put the ball in your best players hands, by handing it off to him. Saquon Barkley can get 3 yards on the ground. ATL was out of time outs, the right call was to keep the clock moving.

Facts, the only positive I took from this game is that Hurts was much better at reading the defense and taking what they gave him, he was poised and looked like 2022 Hurts. He did messup with the INT at the end but that was an extreme circumstance.

These guys get paid based on evaluating the little things, and the little things are the least important problems for the Eagles. Every team they face plays them better than the Eagles play them. It's been a long time since the Eagles have dominated anyone. Teams aren't just not scared of the Eagles, they actually look forward to it. There are so many weaknesses to violate. Jalen Hurts is athletic for sure, but he is grossly overrated as a top QB. So often he has to scramble because he can't find anyone open. It's not that they're not open, but he often can't hit a designed play on the run.

To paraphrase Jody Mac, 'you can't just ignore the results'... While it was more likely Jalen throws a bad pass, or even a pick 6 than Barkley dropping the ball, Saquon dropped the ball, that's a fact and therefore the call can not be perfect. It failed. The point that Sileo made is much closer to reality. It isn't about a 3 yard pass to Barkley in the flat being this super low percentage throw, it's about how many more things *could* go wrong if it failed, an incomplete pass, sack, or interception. 3 different things to go wrong vs a fumble being the ONLY disastrous possibility if they simply hand it off in that situation. John is right about the part where he says this is the Eagles though. Aggression on offense over common sense, Doug had a feel for it. Nick does not.

Saquon dropped the ball, so it obviously wasn't perfect. It works both ways, if Barkley catches it and scores, it's still the wrong call in that situation, occasionally you get lucky. But I can say it was stupid, the same way not taking the field goal in the 1st half when the score was still 0-0 was stupid. Those same 3 points could've won the game. Better example, last week, we won the game, I still said throwing out of an empty set in the 4th quarter, with the lead, was stupid. The brotherly shove is "aggressive", I know a bad play call when I see one, win, lose or draw
