It's not all fish & chips over here, you know you guys get such a great exchange rate right now you should bob over. We used to get thousands of yanks over here calling our cathedrals "quaint". Miss that.

"Egg warsh" pure Southern.
@eliharman
@eliharman 4 жыл бұрын
That's an "intrusive r" which is found primarily in "non-rhotic" accents (accents that usually drop their trailing rs.) Non rhoticity in America is clustered around Boston, New York City, Charleston, Savannah, and New Orleans. It's no more prevalent in the south than it is in the north. Kent has a rhotic accent, not a non-rhotic one. But perhaps some intrusive rs have made their way north and west from Louisiana...

@@DinsdalePiranha67 same in Idaho. My wife was raised here and says warsh, and talks about the state of Warshington, etc. Quite a few others that were raised here say it the same way. it's a cowboy twang dialect essentially. anywhere there are farming and ranching folks, that like to wear cowboy hats, the accent follows. some much heavier than others. I think Eli harman is talking bull, and trying to sound smart..

I’m in Houston and grew jalapeño peppers in my back yard. We think that the absorbed plutonium because of the heat. I fixed the problem with a soaking in milk, sugar, and salt. 3 days later they went mellow and had a taste like Vidalia onions. We just made the armadillo eggs tonight and they were good!! The only problem I had was my jalapenos were really big, so I ran out of sausage and beaten egg. I will be making some more for a neighborhood get-together this coming Saturday. Very tasty, sir!

Two men that would make the best fathers in the country. Dr. Jordan Peterson, and our good buddy Kent. Two sides of the great coin of wisdom.

I like the recommendation for tater flakes - I always have some on hand for breading and for thickening soup or stew. Better flavor than flour, and never gets lumpy. Get the plain kind, with no flavoring.
