I appreciate your comment so much! It helped me as a beginner to train my ears more when listening to jazz pieces and solos. Can you please do a solos breakdown like the above for this concert ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoKQqouHftl2fck ) also? Thank you so much!

After his performance I went down (stage left) to see if I can find him and I noticed a little gathering. It turns out it was an exclusive meet and greet. The guy at the door asked me if I was on the list and all I had to say was yes lol. The picture is on my Facebook page (Wilfredo Lopez)

Saw these guys in a very small theater (200ish) in a very small town here in the Lower Yakima Valley. They held music clinics in some local schools, which they always do on the road. When they came back to the theater for a late afternoon sound check, some local upper elementary/junior high kids were there. One young fellow was alone on stage when Wynton came up to him and asked, "What instrument do you play?" The youngster enthusiastically answered, "The trumpet!" Wynton took him by the shoulder and walked him to a chair and said, "Well, let's both sit here and do the sound check." Can you imagine what that means to that kid now and to the end of his days?
