The Hawks 1st rounder is going to the Spurs unprotected. They have zero incentive to tank, and I expect Johnson to be a great and high minutes player and don't sleep on Dyson Daniels.

this is not a surprise at all, He was a highly ranked highschool recruit and scouts were drooling abt his game. he just had limited playing time when he played at duke and wasnt fully able to showcase his whole bag. which made him underrated coming into the draft. He could've easily cracked the top 5 at highest and late lottery worst case scenario but somehow was overlooked and slid down to 21. Reminds me of what cam whitmore is going through. was projected top 5 then slid down to 20, if you know you know

I think best thing for y’all is trading Hunter and maybe some other guys outside the Trae/Dyson/Zach/JJJ/Bogi core for picks in next seasons draft for a quick re-tool - I personally see them trading Onyeka is the right move. I think JJ and Zach project to be solid number #2 and #3 options and Dyson projects to be one of the best POA defenders in the league (just needs to improve the jumpshot).

As a Hawks fan, the one word I would use to describe Jalen is "Trust" . I trust him on defense, with the ball in his hands, in the clutch, as a shooter, as a passer. The Hawks are inconsistent at the best of times with Trae as the PG, but Jalen is very consistent. He's just REALLY solid. He absolutely has all-star potential and I'd even say he has potential to be a superstar if it was HIS team. His size and what all he can do with that size makes him a bit of a unicorn in my opinion.
