Jalen Johnson is the BEST PLAYER nobody's talking about

The Atlanta Hawks' Jalen Johnson went largely unnoticed through his first two seasons in the NBA, struggling to make a real impact as other, more highly-drafted players from his class thrived. This season, he has taken one of the largest leaps in the league and established himself as an excellent running mate for Trae Young, making a solid case for Most Improved Player and epitomizing what it means to be a versatile, winning player.

And to think 19 other teams passed on him, when he was projected to be selected in the top 5 of his class had he not missed the latter half of his lone season with Duke. The fact that he trained with Lebron, makes him even more of a threat to what he can achieve. He has the potential to become an all nba level player. The even scarier thing is, is that he's still getting there and climbing his ceiling. Atlanta would be stupid to trade him, if he stays injury free from significant severe injuries, he will be on the Hawks a good 10 years. He is the best all around player on the Hawks right now, Trae young will get more assists and points naturally because he has the ball the most, but Jalen Johnson has the ability to legit handle the ball and make plays which takes pressure off Trae and Dejounte. The Hawks need to get an impact Center who can consistently block shots, dunks layups, and rebound and pass. If they find that player, they will be a contender. Keep Aj Griffin, trade Saddiq, Capela, Okongwu, and DeAndre Hunter plus future picks for the absolute best Center bigman they can possibly get, if only it was Victor Wembenyama lmbo, but someone young, and can be the difference between winning games with defense vs, not having that, which is the current situation they are in now. Trae, Jalen, Dejounte, Aj Griffin Jr, and an impact Center will propel the Hawks into the title picture. If we could keep Bogdanovic is a plus off the bench, with a rebuilt bench via the draft and or free agency. But honestly they just need to keep Trae, Dejounte, Jalen, and Aj griffin Jr. If I was the person in charge of trading players, everyone besides Bufkin, and Bogdanovic is getting traded for that Much needed Center and then fill the bench spots in free agency. It's not rocket science for crying outloud. Jalen Johnson as long as he doesn't get injured or suspended badly, he's this seasons most improved player easy bar none.

@@Jordee-B dude Bol Bol and Chet and Oneyka styles aren’t even close. Oneyka is a PF small 5. He can’t dribble , pass, shoot, or create own shot. He is a rebounding and shot blocker but not against real 5’s. Plus he hasn’t been healthy. I think there were plenty Centers this yr already better then him

Average at best and Oneyka is below average rn until he proves himself. He a offensive liability also like Clint but he can move better to guard more then just Centers. Scoring wise and shot creator wise and dribbling etc Bol Bol is still way more skilled. Bol Bol would’ve taken Capella job already.
