After all this brutality, there has been NO OFFICIAL APOLOGY from the British govt. On the contrary, current brits and many in the west look up to the empire as the pinnacle of civility and charm. And to top it off, the western press, especially the British press have the audacity to criticise India on "human rights". Just like the droughts have a genetic impact, I guess the pain of a 1000 Yr brutality unleashed upon Bharat is somehow present in our genes. This pain is unforgettable, in our subconscious I guess. And I reiterate, the most important quality of Indians is perseverance and to thrive amidst such brutality. Jai hind forever.

King charles actually joked about the numbers of deaths being "overhyped" while visiting jaliyanwalla bagh monument with the queen. They were unofficial banned to visit india after that...this is coverd in press at that time. @@NicoleInIndia

My first act was this play as a crying child in Jalianwala bagh massacre in my school. I remember I was told to cry in the play when whole people is shoot down and find dead parents. Everyone was silent only my crying was there in the whole field.

Yes but I am not British 😬 we did learn about the colonization of India in school in the USA and we definitely learned about the struggle - can’t remember if we learned specifically about this though…but I don’t think we did.

Can't even watch the movie that depicted how brutal was British, imagine how brutal it would be who suffered it. They banned this movie from Oscar nomination, to hide the truth the whole world, this movie showed how brutal, and Racist was British. But the history books in Britain teaches nothing about it to the new generation. The wealth they inherited is blood money. There is a saying in India, the money earned with blood will only lead you to hell, it's no good for any living. Still, they blame us in such shameless way our poverty and caste system and religious riots which they were to be blamed to brought into this country. They can't see us growing us above them because of our skin colour. The new generation of India know its history and has learned how to keep such devils away. They are the curse of humankind. Still, we welcome them if they visit us not because of their skin colour or money status or whatever, but because of our culture to see a guest as God.
