A few historical notes: * The Berlin Wall came down between 1990 and 1992, which would make this the early 90's rather than the 80's * The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic lasted until 23 April 1990, when it became known as the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic until 31 December 1992 (which I assume is what CSFR stands for when Uncle Lütfi mentions it, placing the game between these two dates)... needless to say, it eventually settled on the modern name Czechoslovakia * The car featured is based on the Trabant, an East German car built between 1957 and 1990. The 1980's model had no tachometer, no dashboard lamps to show that the lights or the indicators were working, no fuel gauge and no fuel door (requiring the driver to pour the 2-stroke mix directly into the engine)... so actually, the one in the game seems pretty accurate * The name "Laika" was actually the name of the dog sent up in the Sputnik 2 satellite as proof that the Russian space program had the technology to keep a living being alive in space... of course, once she was up there they never actually planned to *retrieve* Sputnik 2, so this story does not have a happy ending for dog-lovers (sorry to end this on a bummer...)
