Jam Packed Airport today--Providenciales International Airport- Turks and Caicos Islands

I went to the airport in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands today, and it was jam-packed with people.

In March, we spent 3.5 hours standing in line (ticketing and security) getting through this mess. Most dirty, unorganized, rude, hot, airport I've ever experienced. I will never go there again.

I was here on 2/17/2024 (Saturday). This airport became the scene in World War Z where they escape from Israel. I think I have PTSD from the experience. I've been all over the world, to some really sketchy places, and this airport is EASILY the worst airport I've ever been to. It was enough to make me never want to go back. It was chaos. A mosh pit that my wife and I luckily lived through. Even after surviving the ticket counter and security you make it to a small room where all the gates reside. We were shoulder to shoulder, it had to of been a fire hazard. My wife was fortunate enough to be randomly selected by security to be checked at our gate so we were able to push our way through the crowd. Our "booked" flight departed on-time three quarters full. Many were left behind.

We acknowledge your points but guess what; the Airport is currently being expanded. So, we would love for you to come back to our beautiful Island and I am sure your experience will be much better. Thanks for visiting the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Does it help at all to buy the fast track option with lounge or does everyone do that and therefore is no benefit?

@debrakeller7313 zero benefit. We ended up in the VIP line which we didn't pay for because they were just trying to move people. We sort of spilled in to the security room and stayed left into VIP because that's where we were sent.

@@murph1329uugghh. I am dreading this part so much. I hear so many bad comments about it. We are a family of 6 and at least 2 are going to be impatient with this to say the least. I talked my hubs into this location over a Jamaica location so I’m already cringing cuz all eyes will be on me😂 thanks for your valuable input! Best to you.

@debrakeller7313 I've heard it's better if you aren't flying out Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. If you are flying out one of those 3 days then plan on getting to the airport 4-5 hours early so it's not as stressful.
