There are *no* excuses, ever (least of all headlining a historic UFC 300 PPV titlefight). Your comments about the fight are very similar to Strickland's comments after fighting Pereira: I was feeling pretty fine, I was doing a good job, I could see all his strikes comming, he only connected few body jabs and then... I was knocked out. The thing is that already happened, you could study it, the body jabs were a distraction to low your defense. But it seems you didn't do your homework, you were knocked out in the same way. Regarding the Herb Dean situation, if that was a distraction? Why did you threw a left hand before Pereira's left hook?
