Indian Arrival celebrations, Chedwin Park, Jamaica. Very honored to be a part of this annual celebration. As a Pandit and Motivational Speaker serving the people of Jamaica for the several years now, I am forever grateful for all the love and appreciation that is always emanated by the wonderful souls on the Island. I look forward to returning soon to serve in whatever capacity is required from a spiritual angle.

This celebratory event gives a indication of how Jamaica used to look visually 50/60/70/100 + year ago. Had so much migration not taken place Jamaica's demographic population would look similar to this visually in some parishes in 2023...

We in Guyana greet you with deep familial feelings. I lived in Jamaica some 70 years ago when I was among the first students at the University at Mona. I remember Jamaica with feelings of nostalgia and Jamaican Indians with a great deal of love. I hope the Indians from Guyana, Trinidad and other West Indian islands who have settled in Jamaica would integrate themselves in the Jamaican Indian community and help in the resuscitation of Indian culture. Now that Guyana has become an important oil country, I hope in due time more Jamaicans would come to Guyana.

My Maternal Great Grandfather was an Indian. My Paternal Great Grandfather was a Scottish and British White Man. My Paternal Great Grandmother was African. They assimilated into the Jamaican culture. So I know how great it is to practice “Out of Many One People.” While I welcome the migration of Guyanese or Trinidadian Indians to Jamaica, I do so as a way to promote unity among the races; as opposed to creating disunity.

Indian Biharis if possible should help teach bhojpuri to Caribbean Indians. Because most Jamaican/Caribbean Indians either only know abit of the language or don't know it at all. Maybe online classes or send delegations to come to the Caribbean and build cultural schools. This will help bhojpuri become abit more prominent internationally and provide some jobs for native speakers. Plus help Caribbeans stay in touch with their roots. Win win for both.

When I was a child, there were much more *Indians* in *Jamaica.* I remembered *Vere, Clarendon* was the epicenter of all things *Indians.* Also half of the students population of *Garvey Maceo* were indians, over 90 percent of *Kemps Hill High* were *Indians* ..... Now it's very sad and emotional to see the declined in the overall numbers due to migration. I'm happy that the government recently expanded the *No Visa Requirements* for immigrants coming from *India* we need to expand the population real quick.....🤔🇯🇲👍

King Spotlight, it is very sad to see the decline in numbers of J.A. Indians to foreign shores. Both my parents are Jamaican Indian from Westmoreland. They migrated to England early 1960s along with many family & friends, work being a major factor for their departure. My parents spent 12 yrs in England & returned to Jamaica early 1970s with myself & my two siblings...If Vere, Clarendon is the epicentre of all things Indian, then 'Paul Island', Little London, Grange Hill & several other areas in Westmoreland, from my experience also had a very high demographic Indian population. A high percentage of my school in Paul Island was attended by Indian students. Sad to say my parents & family relocated back to England after several months in J.A...

@Brian Abisdid True. What is sad is large numbers of J.A. Indians have relocated globally over the last 50 yrs thus changing the demographic look of Jamaica. If you were to time travel back to the 1900s/20s/30s/40s/50s etc in almost every parish Indians would be very visible not like today where the Indian presents is almost invisible due to mass migration out of J.A.
