Greetings my loves,
In today’s video we sit down and talk to our friend who we met at a family owned farm called Earth Family Farm in Ochos Rios in Jamaica 🇯🇲 This is an up close interview of Jah Mikes, a chinese man raised in Jamaica , with rich history and culture in his lineage - he goes into the reality of what it was like growing up in Jamaica as a Chinese man . He also has a rich history working in the music industry and he goes into his experiences working as a music producer in the 1970s reggae era in Jamaica… I hope you enjoy this video and learned something new!

Who see the same vibration in him as a Bob Marley. Jamaica is a mystical place that bridge all races. We don’t think about race in Jamaica, we invite all to come back to humanity.

Hog wash! Jamaica has the biggest problem with bleaching in the Caribbean. You have a colorism problem which is a derivative of racism.

@@jewallorvick233In all honesty, Jamaica motto doesn't apply anymore as most Chinese, Whites, Indian and Brown people have migrated especially in the 70s during the mass exodus. The motto was true when we had independence when the island was more diverse, at one time there was nuff White people in Saint Elizabeth, Manchester and Kingston/ St. Andrew, now very rarely unless u go to an uptown party.

Non-Jamaicans find it hard to understand why Jamaicans are not used to racism. Kids notice differences and will tease each other: too tall, too short, too black, too white, Chinese etc. So teasing a Chinese classmate was about perceived differences and not racism. That was usually fleeting as well. I bet as they knew him he became accepted in the group. Very very different situation from racism in US and UK for example.

When I first went to the States, is realized the difference with my 20 year career as a Marine I had one roommate from California who was racist to black people and he was Hispanic; that I found strange out of all my experiences that was the moment my blinders were moved. But, 23 years later I am still with my Japanese wife and she loves my Jamaican culture and drive.

The poor young lady had to say that although of Chinese race, she didn't know anything about China and ate only Jamaican food, a defence she should not have been forced to take. All people arw capable of discrimination. It depends on who has the upper hand.

Humans are like vessels to carry out the function of this universe. Some are the catalyst to the inevitable end, and some are the catalyst to the start of something new. It dictates how they interact with each other, and the way they perceive themselves and the world around them. It's incredibly how a man can go around creating conflict wherever he can, however he can. And why some might be dim-witted or devoided of logic. We are all apart of the process that will lead to its fulfillment, it's deep rooted in our subconscious minds, many people aren't even aware of it, they operate on a low frequency. Rastafarians seem to have a higher sense of consciousness about this, that's why I respect them.
