I've met a Jamaican family who was on vacation in my home town for about a week and they always came to my place of work for a sandwich cause they loved how I made it for them and talked too them. I think they are most definitely the most "animated" of us all, and I truly love them for that. They're always themselves even in the worst of situations and it's truly a comfort to see that some people, even if they don't know each other at all, they will treat you like family. Truly one of my favorite and most admired cultures

I lived in Scarborough Ontario through my 20's which has a high population of Jamaicans. They are some of the most fun and hospitipal people to be around. Any country where you're an obvious foreigner you have to have your wits about you. Like in this video -- guys are selling food and pushing whatever orange medicine drink, so there's an incentive for them to be friendly. Doesn't mean they aren't genuine and happy people.
