This is outrageous. The nurses in Jamaica need to have more compassion and less judgement towards their patients. I am an Registered Nurse in the USA and I wasn't trained so poorly in therapeutic communication skills. I feel so bad for this young lady and her family. The nurses must attend to their patients properly, was this young lady placed on the fetal monitor ? If so when if there was late deceleration observed, she should have been rushed to the Operating Room for an emergency C-section. This is below standard of care. This is unacceptable and this is malpractice. SHAME ON THOSE NURSES AND DOCTORS AT JUBILEE HOSPITAL. THIS IS DISGUSTING CARE.

I had a tear inside and this wicked woman left me on the bed bleeding out which lead to me almost losing my life. Her exact words were “ me nuh want no blood touch me”. It was a doctor who came and saw me bleeding out heavily and called out for help and immediately rushed me to the theater room where I had to undergo surgery The nurse was VERY unprofessional and VERY rude throughout the whole delivery but thanks be to God I’m still here

The nurse was like, "You're not ready." The doctor came and tested her and told her to take her now in the labor room. She has to catch the child when she walking to labor ward. That same nurse takes out everything on me. Thank God another nurse was there who loved her job with passion. Through her, my son revived on oxygen and sent to ICU. JUBILEE is a SLAUGHTER HOUSE. That hospital needs serious management. All the workers need to be screened and who needs to go, fired! Disgusting!

28 weeks was the last ultrasound smh she's supposed to get another around 36 or 37 weeks. Lawsuit do not let them walk away scratch free. She needs to set up a GoFundMe to go after them. That's a pain she can't forget man smh i feel it for her. I'm praying for healing on her body, her mind and soul🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

This is why I'm so glad I had delivered both of my 2 children with the help of a Midwife instead of Doctors at the hospital. The midwives asked me if I want to give birth at home or at the hospital and travel with me to the hospital and deliver the baby, here in Canada. I hear so many bad stories about OB doctors and how they treat patients here in Canada and all over the world. They don't care about mom and child. Jamaica needs more Midwifery services asap. This is unacceptable. So sorry for this child and his mom and grandmother. Very sad.

I'm soooo soo sorry for your loss. This is such a shame. I really do think these nurses and doctors are poorly trained this is why they treat people like this, or is it just their nature, no real love for humanity . Don't give up, mum. Keep fighting. I know this must be very hard for you, and the whole family god is in control

It's not from lack of training. They gave no compassion, and they are judgemental. Shameful behaviour 😢

I understand your pain. Years ago a close relative of mine told me her experience in the VJ Hospital and she almost lost her baby. They seem not to be professional in doing their job. In a situation like this she's pregnant and needs to be taken care of in a comfortable manner... My condolences to her and her child's father. Rip baby!

Sad, I feel her pain. I however had a different experience (twice) I was a very young teenager when I had my first child ( nurse Hall days). I was well taken care of, 16 years after I had my 2nd child and was taken care of just the same.

My mother in law was like her, I lived with her and when I was to do operation she had to sign...

This actually brought tears to my eyes..thank God you have a good family around you..Stay Strong..❤All parties involved should lose their jobs and be sent to prison. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you sue the hell out of the hospital. No money can bring him back but someone need to be held accountable for this.

My experience was awful there in 2001, and my daughter fell to the ground because I didn't have a bed to lie on. Thank God my daughter was saved by the Lord. My condolences, baby girl 😢.

Cheer up my daughter as a young girl a similar thing happened to me, I didn't even get to see the baby and I was paralyzed from my waist down to my foot 3 months if you cut my feet I wouldn't feel it. Child bearing is a life n death situation, all is not lost, Jehovah God knows best. Just give thanks you're alive

This is just painstakingly inhumane and she needs to pursue this to the highest degree possible. 😮😮. This brought so many feelings as a mother myself. I went to UWI and paid to give birth and it was a great experience. They really took care of me.

Heart rendering, painful, the worse case scenario! Condolences to Miss Shakeria Reid and her Mother-In-Law Colleen. Pray they receive some answers. Hospital could have done more...shock and emotionally draining for first-time mother-to-be tragic outcome.
