I attended another show on this tour, a bit further up the coast, at an impressionable age - and it impressed the hell out of me, especially this song.

I saw dozens of Jorma Acoustic shows (and just as many Jorma/Jack acoustic & electric) mid 70:s to mid 80's. Jorma alone on a folding chair was so chill and a powerhouse at the same time. It was a mindfuck to watch/hear 1 man so gracefully produce so much beautifully layered music so seeming easy. A word or two between songs, a few sips of a mixed cocktail and WOW 7 minutes of being memorized again. Full Hot Tuna Shows were historic. Jorma, Jack, Papa John enjoyed performing so much they didn't want to stop. Nights at the Capitol in Passaic when the house lights would go on and the boys would keep jamming. One night John Sher says it's past city and union laws to play this late. Tuna played until they cut the stage electric. A few years ago the media made a huge commotion about Bruce playing a three hour show - lol, what bullshit. 3 hours was a warm up for an Acoustic and Electric Hot Tuna Night. Papa John sitting on a rocking chair between songs- sipping from a bottle of whiskey. Performances of it's kind can never be experienced in this day and age of cut and dry "concerts". I actually feel bad for people who will never know what it was like to see a band perform because they enjoyed it so much. Not because it's a choreographed 45 minute set.

I left some shows exhausted. These guys invented jamming. My brother studied Jack Cassidy, Phil Lesh , John Paul Jones, Entwistle. They don't can't make music like c this today.

The same situation happened probably during the same tour in NYC. Tuna played both Acoustic and electric sets at two shows in one night. An early and late show at the Academy of Music on 14th street in NYC. I think it was still the Acafemy, not the later Palladium. Tuna was blasting away near almost 5 AM. The stage hands came on either side of the stage trying to hairy eye ball Jorma, Jack, and Bob into stopping. It was a union thing since these guys were at work since the previous days pre sound check before the early show. Some lucky SOBS went to both shows and got their head full of Cid worth. I only went to the late show and got out close to sunrise. We went over to 3rd Avenue all night delis to crab some beers to cushion the acid come down on the subway ride back to Brooklyn. We were shell shocked since we couldn't shake the ringing out of our ears.

Wonder what pedal is the effect on his guitar? Flanger, chorus, or delay?
