Even though I'm close to 50 now I still remember the woes of being a Christmas baby. My birthday is the day after Christmas. I never once had a birthday party and I usually got a 'combo' Christmas/birthday gift in one...and if I did get a separate birthday gift it was usually wrapped in leftover Christmas paper. Regardless, I was always grateful but I think it's important to make every child's birthday feel special to them, so great job, mama! 💕💕💕

We have a niece who was born on Christmas Day. They always celebrated her birthday in July,.which was just fine with her. They always had a pool party/sleepover for her. She always had a great time as it had been a while since she had seen her friends!

Mines the day after as well. Always combo gifts and never a party. What was worse was their were two girls in my class that I grew up with that shared my birthday and every year their parent made sure they had parties. They were normally in January but they still got them. 😩🥺 Now as an adult if I ever have a child close to Christmas I will make sure that they know their birthday is special in every way.

The ornament wreath is definitely an inside one. The hot glue will loosen in cold weather. I craft a lot, you can just re -hotheadedness them back on. Maybe there wasn’t enough on the first time.

You might try E6000 on the ornament wreath instead of trying to wire all of those ornaments. E6000 is more durable than hot glue.

Pretty wreaths. Last one with bulbs. I'd take each bulb ...pop off ornaments topper place a dot of hot glue or super glue, in the notch and put topper back on, that way they'll stay-put. Then, I'd wire each bulb back on, and spray the entire wreath, bulbs and all ...with a clear coat spray, that way the bulbs wont fade, or peel, crack less, wire will rust less ....if you plan to put it outside.

We never had a holiday birthday until 38 years ago when my oldest nephew was born on Christmas Eve. Even before he was born we knew that we would celebrate the two days separately. It worked out well. We have always celebrated Christmas on Christmas Day. The night before was his choice of dinner, cake and birthday presents. Sometimes we had a party with friends. We always gave him the same amount of presents as if the days were six months apart.

Who would ask why you have a "rope" around your waist? Smh 🙄. I'd think most would know that maternity tops, as a rule, have some sort of tie. It just accentuates the bump & is absolutely precious in my opinion. I love the way you address comments, always with such dignity & class. Loving all the things you picked up ❣️ Also, I think some wire &/or E6000 glue should do the trick for your beautiful wreath. If that doesn't work, use it with a flameless 🕯️ as a centerpiece. You can use monofilament to tie all those ornaments to the wreath because it looks like they are all going to try to make a run for it. lol I thank you for your children for not treating the Holiday birthdays as an afterthought or inconvenience. As a child, I actually wished we would just forget my birthday which was 2 weeks after Christmas, but many years, I did ask the Lord for snow. You would not believe how many times I got my wish even though we lived in the South.

I have 5 kids with birthdays within a few weeks of Christmas. Since they were little, I’ve let my kids choose their birthday presents and then surprised them at Christmas. Either way, we have to clean out the toy bins right before Thanksgiving for all the stuff that comes in. I also have to plan for the 3 boys (6,7,8) who will compete and compare about their gifts because their birthdays are 5 days and 3 weeks apart. The things we do!

Hot glue works well for indoors. If it is to hot or to cold the hot glue may not hold well. Dollar tree has some really good super glue. If you are going to use floral wire make sure the hanger part is glued on, they pop off easily

You enjoy the way the ties look as long as they aren't hurting baby go for it, & if you want to add a pop of color use ribbon. It's reasonably priced & you can decide the length. I have made many wreaths using hot glue, from what I see not enough glue was used & there is nothing on the back to attach it helps to keep things in place. I normally use garland from the Dollar Tree. Lots of love for the new baby, they area huge blessing.
