James and Jennifer Crumbley sentenced to 10-15 years in Oxford High School shooting

James and Jennifer Crumbley, the parents of the Oxford High School shooter, were each sentenced to 10-15 years in prison on Tuesday with credit of just over two years for time served.

They got off easy...in my opinion they should have been given 15 years each for every child that their child shot. Parents need to take responsibility for the crimes of their children if they were in a position of being able to prevent the crimes from being perpetrated. I'm glad they are going to jail. They should have been sent to jail for a lot longer. The judge did the best she could with the statutes she had to deal with. But I think these two parents deserve a much greater penalty than they got.

I'm sure their horses were well taken care of by their supporters as this was mom's only concern after her arrest which stands to reason as her horses were all that she ever cared about spending all her time & their money on. Selfish, irresponsible parents. Anyone who rallies behind this couple and their son are in denial that they are terrible judges of character.

Judge really read the defendants the riot act, and rightly so. I understand that some people think that this prosecution was inappropriate and set a dangerous precedent. While those concerns are not lost on me, I have agreed with this prosecution from its inception through to the present day. It's not about one little act of negligence. It's about a great many acts of negligence, big & small, on the parts of both parents. These many instances of negligence added up to an appalling, catastrophic mess.

Well, 10-15 years is better than nothing. They should be thankful because I think they got off easy. They were grossly negligent and look what happened. These two sure have aged quite a bit over the last 2 years and 4 months.

Judge gave her the max sentence she could give .. 10-15 fair play to her … the parents and defence attorneys seriously they were a disgrace…

She supplied the murder weapon. She is an accessory to the crime. Maybe she will discover remorse while locked up, but probably not.
