While driving, I heard the news of Mr Arness' passing. I had to pull over and stop. Another one of our Legends has gone on. Longest running drama on television. I still enjoy the show on the Western channel. Marshal Dillion wasn t a singing cowboy. Loved him more for that. He was a man' s man. He loved the people around him. Never had a hard thing to say about them. As we get older, we lose our heros. Sad but true. Thank you for the memories and fun that you gave to me.

A real man. Like Eastwood, Bronson, and Heston. I hear he's a big man 6foot7 from what I've been told. I also hear he was wounded in the leg in Korea. That gave him his signature Matt Dillon walk.

It was a tv show about the "wild west"...had to do what had to be done to keep "law & order"...in the real wild west. Looks like the USA is again turning into the wild west the way things are going these days. We sure need some law and order these days and some one "pulling a trigger" besides the criminals!

@mustaffa1611 You really should give up smoking...you know, those roll your own little dream sticks. It is plain to see the negative affect it has had on your reasoning. A western show to "justify government!" Man you are conpletely gone.
