You know I want to remind everyone that Art Monk had the longest standing ovation of any inductees. He was the perfect WR, perfect teammate, perfect leader, perfect hands, looked perfect in his uniform, perfect Number 81 and perfect personality for the game, his talking was on the field. I hated when left to play for another team. Free agency 🤨

I was a skinny little kid in southern Illinois and in every pickup football game I played in my mind I was number 81. If it got near him he caught it. Art Monk was my favorite Washington receiver.

Still the longest ovation in Hall Of Fame history at four minutes and four seconds. Monk was a class act and one of the best receivers in NFL history.

Same. Chris Hanberger King of the Clothesline. And could blitz and cover. I would add Russ Grimm, Dave Butz and Ken Houston. And I hate when people say that Deon Sanders is without question the GOAT at DB. Green has a few lest INTs, like single digits, more pass break ups, and waaay more tackles. And remember him stripping Michael Irvin in the endzone to seal that playoff game in their last championship season.

Yeah but that comes from getting old neither does Jerry Rice or Steve Largent. Look at the NBA Jordan gets overlooked by guys that never compared to him

I know and when you think about it he never had a great QB or even a pro bowl selection or even a top 15 QB his whole career. He had a 5'7" punt returner from the Canadian Football League, one that was color blind, one for a season that way awesome but at the end of his career, and a guy with 6 surgeries on his knees, each, in college. Each guy was good for couple of seasons. I'm talking Theisman, Jay Schrader, Doug Williams, and Mark Rypien.

@@NoBullsh_t Joe Theissman. He was generously listed as 5'9" but his real height was 5'6", maybe 5'7". He played in the CFL and at one point returned punts. These are facts, inconvenient though they may be. Have a pleasant and safe holiday weekend.
