Where oh where did THIS James Arthur go? Into the abyss of compromise & total surrender, the sacrifice of self & soul... chasing cold cash & meaningless fame. What remains if you lose yourself, YOUR music AND your soul? You can't take it with you James.🙏♥️🇺🇲✌

Watching in exactly four years from 2013: 2017. James Arthur gives you the powerful emotions in all of his songs. The pain, agony, regret ripples through the lyrics he writes. He really is underrated compared to most of the singers today: the combination of soul written lyrics and powerful voice gives you an angel on earth or James Arthur.

I agree, I have loved him for atleast 3 years now. I would love for him to gain the recognition he well deserves. Such a amazing songwriter/such amazing emotion out into his music. Maybe that is why he has not taken off over here. The music is so shallow and meaningless that we fall for over here it is a disgrace. Anyways back to more James Arthur songs.

Saw someone post this on "the Star Room" by Mac Miller... idk if this song gives really my preferences for delivery in terms of lyrics, having trouble with the voice... I can see that you feel what you're saying, so props :) In the past, I'd have felt some of your lyrics, I guess maybe, but congrats for putting efforts, I'm sure some will like it :)

George Bailey His status isn't really relevant to me, just went to see everything else like I did before, I don't really like.. It won't give me any sounds/emtions like moonlight sonata, experimental genres or some specific electro (dubstep, and all) songs, it won't make me feel any way myself; music is what I use for personal feeling, apart from music, I care only about others, when I listen to *his* music, I just feel bad for him because he feels not that good in his reality or et cetera (then I can't interpret and make a good meaning that suits me... In this perspective, I could like in another delivery style if he changed the themes, was more vague and the voice (I like rap for example (rythm and poetry, lol), not much mac if you wondered, but the song I said meets better my preferences, go see it, wasn't really bad.. at all), also, if I want a piece I want to feel for in terms of lyrics, there are others I feel are better, also, theres always those things like ''tidy monster'' that has meanings... (not the song). euhm, the voice isn't one that gets me even in his style/genre, that my brains feeling, can change that, won't ever intentionally, I don't have the time to change ze brainz on that level you know and simply don't want/care because I don't see no benefits from it.. When it comes to the meaning of this song, I see alot of meanings, but I just find one part destroys meanings I'd want it to have, and it goes to what I thought he had as meaning at the begining, If he was underground I'd have said to him to continue and all, but thanks, didn't know he was famous.. Good for him, he seems like a good person, wouldn't care if he was ''bad'' anyway :) I barely was able to write this, chronoception quite delayed, I've slept less than 3 hours during the last 3 days plus other things I won't talk about.. This text may be incoherent or sssssssssssssome shit... anyway I got a text to write to give 7 hours from now and want to sleep, so much love, peace and wellness, ciao bud, I incoherently rambled, I'm sorry for that,

wow that was long lol i guess it just depends what you relate to really and what style of music dose it for ya.

@GiraffesEatStuff10 жыл бұрын
Haha, I was kinda tired and all, I like a little his music I guess, the acoustics were good! Lyrics didn't really surprise me, that's why I wrote that... Yeah, I can relate, for feelings and all, but, I don't know why, I don't appreciate all of his music much, it looked too pop or flashy maybe, not sure (I weirdly don't like pop mostly, it's just too flashy in a way I dislike)... Take for example "rock bottom", "if I had" by eminem, it's decent, just ok, not necessarily great, but I know him and how he lives at the moment because of the song, it's "full", I like it, he often exagerates the "happening" (sometimes reactions too) to create the effect, just like in an really dramatic opera and such; I don't know, but if there's no sound, I don't like much of the pop genre (maybe punk rock too), though I liked the experimental pop from Grimes... I may be disliking on only certain parts of pop, I feel it's too often an in-between of mild abstract feeling oriented conceptual music and of what I'd call (I'll just invent a term) "full" of story-meaning. (His songs have meaning and all, but I can't experience by myself.) Sorry, I write too much, can't sleep since awhile...

Wow! Those lyrics are deep because they are describing someone with a personality disorder. Very unfortunate to be a liar, a cheat and what sounds like a sexual predator. No doubt whomever he's singing about is slippery and slimy at best. And a narcissistic or psychopathic person lurking behind the mask. In this case however, Dr. Jeckle exposed Mr. Hyde willingly as the mask didn't have to slip. Wish all NPDs were so honest because every target could get away before the snake attack. Great lyrics, tho scary! I'm a huge fan Hope those lyrics aren't about him.
@muratk775210 жыл бұрын
Listening to the song in the light of your opinions makes me better understand the lyrics, thank you. I'm afraid it could be about James himself as probably you cannot express it so well without going through such a problem... Spreading love definitely helps him become a better person :)
@christinewilliams292610 жыл бұрын
Murat K If the lyrics are about him, then I'm assuming that he most likely wrote them at an extremely difficult and devastating time in his life. More so than not, he may have hit rock bottom and that's why the brutal honesty. A cry for help. One thing for sure, with all these thirsty women he has plenty of narcissistic supply.

Christine Williams OF COURSE the lyrics are about him, what do u expect? do u have an idea of what he has gone through? he really knows about life, he cries in his songs, he's a liar cause life made him a liar, he is a cheat cause life made him a cheat, , these darkness coming of his mouth in the lyrics and in the pain of the voice are his huge talent cause he can express himself through music, and also has an amazing voice, is just music, the best kind for me, and sorry for my bad english but my language is spanish
