That was totally awesome bro. The only about about that "healthy highway grub". is that you burp it in your helmet for 50 kms. lol

I have never been there before. Every time I drove past the lines were huge. This was mid week so we decided to stop. It was ok.... But we did have to make another stop some 80km further north.

Just came across this vid....nice job...not over produced...pretty realistic. Question....I am wondering if a Harley Davidson Dynaglide would make it to Chisasibi?
@Peeohtrek4 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the kind words. The road is paved all the way to Chisasibi, so you should have no problems. The only thing you will have to watch out for is road construction. There might be long stretches of gravel where they’re resurfacing the road. Also, the last 10km, form Chisasibi to the coast of James bay, is gravel. But if you ride slowly it should not be an issue. Cheers.

7:29 Exactly why I never choose a motorcycle unless it has at least 400 km of range, be it for the James Bay Road or any other. Gasing up wastes time if you are trying to make distance. My KLR 650 is good for 500 kms on a paved road at the speed limit and my R1200 GSA LC is good for that and up to 600 kms.
@Peeohtrek Жыл бұрын
Exactly, the speed triple was constantly being topped up. We essentially carried fuel for the triple. On the other hand our KLRs being overloaded and riding at higher speeds faired only slightly better.
@a.c.e.7568 Жыл бұрын
@@Peeohtrek I have the luggage mounts on the KLR from Happy Trails. The aluminum cases from Daerr (Germany) were heavily loaded and the luggage mounts were never an issue, even after 1100 kms of rough gravel roads. You could hook a hook to them and lift the KLR onto a ship they are that solid. As for range, with the boxy aluminum Daerr luggage, it would be reduced due to aerodynamic drag.

Thanks. Yeah that was a pretty cool ride, minus the mishap with the GSA rider.... We (Daren on the Broken KLR and I) actually went back and rode the Trans Taiga last year... Video is being edited right now. This ride is a must for all motorcycle riders.

Did you script this first? Only a Canadian would put beer in his jacket like a baby in a papoose.
@Peeohtrek6 жыл бұрын
Cliff Spicer No script. I sat down, did the edit and then recorded what poped into my head with the phone mic. The beer: was shaken very badly, It was going to burst regardless. I thought that having a beer on me would absorb some of the shaking.... but then it exploded. 3 survived though...

Hey, late to the party... Looking for a trip Pan21 as the border will probably still be shut down. Anyways, how did the Triumph handle the ride, aside from the panniers? (Just read your reply to the Dynaglide...) What was the duration and total trip kms?
@Peeohtrek3 жыл бұрын
Better late than never. The triumph made it through without an issue. The cracked luggage rack was the only problem. James did however complain of a rough and stiff ride. Hitting the bumps in the triumph wasn’t fun. It was a 5 day/4 nights ride. And we did just over 3200km from Grimsby where James and I live. It was a few hundred shorter for Daren as he lives in Northern Ontario. Thanks for watching!

@@Peeohtrek the mosey on inn. It was a strip club / hotel, I just read it was torn down a few years ago. Damn it. We used to go in there when we were snowmobiling out of North Bay.

This journey was just a long weekend with a day off on each side of the weekend. Not much time here either. Working and family gets in the way of riding. Lol. You have a great bike so enjoy it as much as you can.

So true! Every video I've uploaded so far contain some kind of language about how happy I am with this bike!

Ron C Lol. I uploaded one that was about the shortcomings of the KLR... I got killed on that one. Expressing your opinions on that bike is deadly. KLR riders are a sensitive bunch... Sometimes... lol. Nontheless, the bike itself is amazing. Simple, reliable and fun. I just sub'd to your channel.

Oh by the way...I would like to give you an idea for your summer ride this year! Can you do the TLH please? TLH is of course the Trans Labrador Highway... Google it and you'll see it is an adventure of epic proportions. I live too far away to do it but hope you can make it happen!
@Peeohtrek6 жыл бұрын
The Trans Labrador is on the bucket list. I'm not sure if it's a possibility this year as I have work obligations and a bike that might not be best for it... but maybe. I am doing the Dacre Rally for sure as for the TLN.... We will see.
