James Bay addresses the complexities of relationships. So many songs are black and white desire and ending. He speaks to the true lovers, those who commit to the barren spaces between desire and longing, the ones who can't and won't let go, who love on. Good for him. We need intelligent song writing, scribes of the heart. These personal creations stir my soul, we need them. Am so glad he's at the top and winning. Gorgeous song :-)

I don't think I've ever liked studio/album recordings over the acoustic versions, but I actually prefer the album version of this song and it's probably in my top 5 fav songs of all time. I like the big bang a complete band brings to the bridge, and especially the e.guitar's mix was so perfect for me; I could hear and appreciate every detail down to the smallest sounds. It's just my preference.
