The lyrics videos on this song drive me nuts they all have something different. Are these the official lyrics from James himself? Because I have listened to every version of this song now and the ones you have posted are the closest I can find but I swear he is saying “Is this darkness of the dawn” or “Is this darkness or the dawn” both of which would have very different meanings imo. I’ve seen a couple other places where they say “It’s the starkness of the dawn” which I guess could be but I swear I just don’t ever hear that. Idk I know it’s a small thing but it seems like an important line and it’s just been bugging me now lol
