Great ranking of all the bonds, I agree 100%, I'm glad that you feel the same way about my personal favorite, bond, james ,bond, Timothy dalton if Tim went on and did a few more I really do think that he would have been the best bond period. Nice video, very enjoyable to watch. I’m a 40+ year fan, I just did another rewatch of all the films (Last was in 2010). These are my ratings (yours are in parenthesis) I wrote notes on some of the films that were far apart on. 1. The Spy who loved me (6) When I think Bond this movie and the next one come to mind, in fact these are two I recommend new Bond watchers to watch first. 2. From Russia With Love (12) This is the best Connery film, great pacing, nice locales, this is JB Connery style. 3. Skyfall (2) 4. License to Kill (4) 5. Goldeneye (5) 6. A View to a Kill (24) I get the faults of this film but each time I watch it I enjoy it more and more. This is a classic Bond movie, great opening scene and final scene, nice locales, menacing villain, awesome hench-woman, etc and it has two of the most intense scenes of any Bond Film in it. 7. Live and Let Die (14) 8. Thunderball (18) I think this Connery’s best acted film and the groundbreaking underwater sequences are awesome. 9. The world is Not Enough (13) 10. Dr. No (11) 11. Die Another Day (21) - The first half of this film is the best Bond film ever made (9.5 stars). Yes it goes off the rails (5 stars) but the hate it receives is not merited. (7.5 stars average) 12. Octopussy (17) A fun but campy film with some great elements in it. 13. For Your Eyes Only (10) 14. Diamonds are Forever (19) This is good film that showcases 70’s Las Vegas, this film could only be made in Las Vegas and besides Connery is so enjoyable to watch in it because he is just having fun. 15. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (9) I would have liked to see Lazenby do more films but this movie is great in parts and just so-so in parts for me. It’s always ranked in the middle. 16. The Living Daylights (7) This film seems to choppy with scenes just thrown in ad hoc. 17. Goldfinger (3) I used to rate this higher but each rewatch it drops, It’s slow paced (golf isn’t exactly exciting), the plot holes are immense. It also suffers that it is sandwiched between FRWL (Connery’s best film) and TB (Connery’s best acting), if I watch it on it's own and not in a marathon I mentally rate it higher. 18. Casino Royale (1) This is a decent Action/super-hero movie, highly predictable, but it’s not bond. Craig comes off as a dumbed-down brutish Jason Borne with mental stability issues. He would never be able to pass the tests to be a 00 (I know they tried to gloss over this later but it didn’t fly). Just like Goldfinger, poker for 30 minutes isn’t exactly exciting so let’s drug him (everyone saw that coming but it makes no sense). Plus rewatch it, Vesper’s character only makes sense if she is a double agent working against Bond (or she is just incredibly dumb). I didn’t find much chemistry between them and her death was comical unrealistic. 19. Tomorrow Never Dies (15) 20. You only live twice (20) 21. The Man with the Golden Gun (22) 22. Moonraker (16) 23. Spectre (8) Just jam the needle into his brain and put us out this misery. This was a film that could have been great but it blew it every chance it got. 24. Quantum of Solace (23) This is the only “F” Bond film in my book.

@@shaunsteele1754 Like i know Roger Moore is pushing 60 in that film and i can see the stunt double throughout the film but the overall story is quite good and the villains in Walken, Grace Jones and Walken's partner are fantastic. I love the ending on top of the Golden Gate Bridge.

This is undeniably one of the best rankings Ive ever seen! Switch up The Man With The Golden Gun and A View To A Kill and my ranking of the Roger Moore movies would be exactly the same! Seeing Octopussy in your top 5 is the highlight to it all! It has everything you want from a Bond movie and only ranks low because people are too lazy to properly look at it. I also like the appreciation for The World Is Not Enough as Im also used to see it near the bottom. Along with Octopussy the most underrated Bond entry. Just a few where i really disagree. Unfortunately i have Skyfall near the bottom, i dont like how Bond falls from the bridge and then lives on pills. The second half from the tube scene onwards is great though! I also have Licence To Kill near the bottom, its too full of brutality for a typical Bond film and I dont like Talisa Soto. She doesnt have acting experience. And i would put You Only Live Twice, The Living Daylights and Thunderball much, much higher! They are all 3 in my top 10! Over the top on what is a fantasy movie makes for a fun movie. And a good time. When movies become more than what they really are makes them boring. The man with the golden gun, captured the life and death aspect of James Bond. To me the world is not enough is the best bond movie ever made. Because he reached into a couple of human traits, love, caring , pain, hatred, and duty. He couldn't fall in love, but he does, and what a decision he had to make. And finally devotion to his country, and the world. Perfect blend of spy and plot.

wah 2005 Because this movie is overfilled with pretty dark and gross scenes popping on one after the other. Like, give it a rest, man! It feels like a try to deliberately disgust the audience. After the first watch this film sent me straight into a couple of nightmares. If gory scenes are censored on the TV versions, then, seriously, what’s the point of making them in the first place? Talisa Soto is a terrible actress as you can clearly see her lack of acting in almost every scene she‘s in. I‘m not a fan of the plot either. Don‘t get me wrong, the plot is well written but to me it just doesn‘t stand out as much as most of the other films. Also at about half time, I get bored and I wanna stop watching it.

Thunderball just kinda bores the hell out of me after the first 20 minutes; I can't really explain why because it has a great story, great villains and some of the most stunning locations in the entire franchise, but... eurgh, it just drags hard, and none of the action is particularly exciting either. I'd personally much rather watch Diamonds Are Forever, because at least it shows you a good time even if it is ridiculously dumb.

where spectre doesn't spit on the bond franchise, it's extremely bland.the bond girl is average and the romance doesn't work. the B plot is boring as fuck. the title song is awful. tying the craig films together doesn't work. but the worst thing is what they did to their flagship villain. bond doesn't need to borrow plot poin ts from austin powers. spectre is broken from the start. it's the only bond film that actually makes me angry. i agree with you on dalton, though.

Dr No - So overrated, aged poorly, wooden acting, terrible effects, never understood why people rank it so highly 22. Die Another Day - Fun but very dumb. Halle Berry and Rosamund Pike are great 21. A View To a Kill - Fun, cheesy but overlong and slow 20. The Man with the Golden Gun - Very silly, but super fun and Christopher Lee is amazing 19. Thunderball - Overrated, just a huge step down from Goldfinger 18. Tomorrow Never Dies - Generic 90s film with a great score and Bond Girl and Villain 17. For Your Eyes Only - Forgettable, has some good moments but not memorable 16. Live and Let Die - Fun but shaky start to Moore’s Tenure, saved by Yaphet Kotto 15. Spectre - Really decent film, nowhere near as bad as people say 14. The World is Not Enough - Underrated, great performance from Brosnan and Marceau 13. Diamonds are Forever - Guilty pleasure, just so much fun and camp 12. Octopussy - The go to Bond film I watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon, so much fun and laughs 11. Moonraker - Uses it’s gimmick time the max and it’s glorious 10. From Russia With Love - Takes a bit to get the plot going, but it’s smartly written and enjoyable 9. You Only Live Twice - Iconic and Epic. This is what Bind films should be like 8. The Spy Who Loved Me - First Bond film I watched, such an awesome time 7. The Living Daylights - Great return to the roots of the franchise, some of the best writing 6. Goldfinger - Iconic and set the standard for future Bond films 5. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service - Probably the one that has aged the best, great Bond Girl, Villian and score. Epic 4. Casino Royale - The most polished Bond film, saved the franchise and has my favourite ending 3. Goldeneye - The best debut performance from a Bond actor, great villains, Bond girl is amazing. The pacing is excellent 2. Skyfall - The Best Bond film Objectively. Brilliant filmmaking. Best Bond performance. Best Bond song, great cinematography 1. License to Kill - Always be my favourite. My favourite Bond, my favourite villain, one of my favourite Bond Girls, one of the best scores and song. Made me care about Bond like no other, made him 3 dimensional. Criminally underrated and glad more people are giving it the respect it deserves.
