One interesting fun fact. From Russia with Love was actually made because of of the President of the United States. President John F Kennedy was a huge James Bond fan and had the novel on his top ten reading list. The producers saw it and thought “if it’s good enough for the President, why not?” JFK saw the film two days before his assassination and loved it.

1:35 Fun fact, Ian Fleming was a step cousin of Christopher Lee, who himself was working for the OSS in WW2. So in a way, the Character of James Bond is based on Ian Fleming's idea of what Christopher Lee was doing while working for the OSS. James Bond = Christropher Lee :O

* Yes indeed. There are 5 different James Bond era timelines. The *Literary* *Era* Timeline(1919-1976), the *Connery/Lazenby/Moore* *Era* Timeline(1930-1987), the *Dalton* *Era* Timeline(1940-1997), the *Brosnan* *Era* Timeline(1950-2007) and the *Craig* *Era* Timeline(1965-2021). Bond's parents were "Andrew Bond" and "Monique Delacroix". Andrew was in the Royal Navy during WWI, and became the Captain of the "HMS Faithful"(hired motor drifter). After the war, Andrew got a job working for "Vickers Ltd" as a travelling sales representative. * Which is how he came to meet Monique in Zurich. Monique was a freelance spy hunter for the S.I.S.(which is not the same thing as M.I.6, but they both operate out of the same building) undercover as a "freelance photojournalist". James was born in Zurich, Switzerland on November 11th. His father inherited "Skyfall Lodge" in Glencoe, Scotland from his father "Archibald Bond" when James was only 2 years old. James' mother "Monique" begins teaching him how to speak French, German and Russian. Andrew starts teaching James how to hunt(with Skyfall Lodge's gamekeeper "Mr. Kincade"), how to fish(at "Loch Leven"), boating, Judo, and how to play cards like a real pro(especially Baccarat, Blackjack and Community card Poker). * Every year, James' parents would take long vacations in "Kitzbuhel, Austria" to take skiing lessons from a close friend of Andrew's named "Hannes Oberhauser" at one of the skiing schools. Hannes would also teach his own son "Franz". James parents asked Hannes if he would be James godfather, and he happily accepted. By the age of 10, James starts picking up on his fathers glib remarks and pithy come-backs. When James was 11, his mother was asked to come out of retirement by the SIS, to continue her last assignment, which was to expose Russian moles that had infiltrated western intelligence organizations. Recent intel had given them a hot lead that moles she had come really close to exposing were currently in France. * Andrew insisted on accompanying her. They told James and Mr. Kincade that they needed to go on an important business trip, and asked Kincade if he could look after James for them until they returned. In which, Kincade replied that he would be happy to. This mission of Monique's led them all the way to the "Chamonix-Mont-Blanc" commune ski resort. Where they took the cover of skiing enthusiasts on holiday. This "hot lead" led her(or was led) on skis into the "Aiguilles Rouge" crystalline mountainous massif of the French prealps above Chamonix. * When she was getting very close to accomplishing her mission she was killed by Russian assassins in an operation called "Steel Cartridge", where they caused an avalanche, which killed her in the process. Andrew was skiing with her at the time, and also perished from the avalanche. A chrome cartridge of bullets was found next to Monique's body left by the Russian operatives as a warning to the SIS. It was believed to be nothing more than a "climbing accident", but James discovers the truth in the novel called "Carte Blanche". * When Mr. Kincade tried very hard to delicately tell James what happened to his mom and dad, James ran off and spent the next two day hiding in a priest hole that had been built into Skyfall Lodge that James knew about. When Hannes Oberhauser heard the news, being James godfather, he called Skyfall Lodge to give James his condolences and offer to take him in, and take custody of him. It was the only way Kincade was able to get James to come out of the priest hole. Oberhauser and his son Franz flew to Glencoe, Scotland for the funeral of Andrew and Monique. Kincade told James not to worry. * He would take care of Skyfall Lodge for him. Oberhauser took James back to Kitzbuhel with him. For the next 2 years, Oberhauser started to teach James and his son Franz how to climb, hunt and began training them for Olympic alpine skiing. Over these 2 years, Hannes had developed a strong paternal relationship with James. His own son Franz grew jealous of this and deliberately caused an avalanche in an attempt to kill all 3 of them. Hannes was killed by the avalanche, but James and Franz survived. A rescue team managed to find Hannes and James, but not Franz. James would later discover that he had fled the scene before the rescue team arrived, and then changed his name. * By now James was 13 years old, and when his paternal aunt "Charmian Bond" heard about what happened, she flew to Kitzbuhel to find James. When she found him at an orphanage, she told him that she would like it if he came with her, and lived with her in the hamlet of Pett Bottom, England. James went with her, and she became his legal guardian. Charmian owned a 5 star restaurant in Canterbury with a very impressive wine cellar. She taught James how to be a connoisseur of fine wine and fine dining. James attended "Eton College" from age 13-14, where he goes out for Climbing, Fencing and Golf. In 1931, he buys himself a 1930 "Blower Bentley" 4.5 litre Supercharged with winning he got from a race. * James initiates an affair with his maid "Roan Power" and he is expelled from Eton College over the "incident"(see the novel "By Royal Command" to find out the juicy details). Charmian managed to obtain James' transfer to "Fettes College" where he continued with rock climbing, golf and fencing, but also goes out for shooting, the diving team, and the boxing team. In addition to this, Bond began taking karate lessons somewhere in Edinburgh, and taught Judo at Fettes College. James finds his father's Beretta at the age of 15, and begins using it a year later(see the novel "Red Nemesis" for details). * Bond graduates from Fettes at the age of 17, and begins attending "Cambridge University" in September of that year, majoring in "Law" and "International Law", as well as a minor in "Forensic Science". This is where Bond becomes a thrill seeker. Skiing, surfing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hang gliding, water skiing, parasailing, parasurfing, mountain climbing, as well as fishing, boating, golfing and frequenting casinos for recreation. At the age of 18, he contacts Mr. Kincade to give him Skyfall Lodge, transferring ownership of the estate over to him. * He receives a Bachelor's Degree in June at the age of 21, and joins the "Royal Naval Reserve" later that same month. After basic training, he is stationed at "Lee-on-Solent"(HMS "Daedalus III" or "Ariel" depending on Era Timeline) Royal Naval Air Station near the port city of "Portsmouth" in the county of Hampshire. About a year later, Bond is transferred to the Royal Navy "Fleet Air Arm", but remains stationed at "Lee-on-Solent". This is where he learns how to fly aircraft. Then at the age of 25, he is transferred to the "No. II Squadron RAF Regiment"(specifically for parachute and freefall training). This is where Bond got really good at freefall techniques, including the "HALO Jump". * At the age of 27, he is transferred to the Royal Navy's "Special Boat Service" where he becomes a "Frogman Commando", and on occasion flying helicopters. At the age of 29, Bond is transferred to "Military Intelligence Section 6"(M.I.6). Section 6 quite literally IS "The Double-O Section". He is given the default cover name James Bond. What his real name has been this whole time is unknown. He is given "1-0"(One-Zero) Field Agent Intelligence Officer status, and is then given a 3 digit cryptonym code number suffix that is added to the end of his military service number(sometimes it is referred to as a prefix, but it is actually a suffix). * It was a 3 digit number between "100-999", but some people think it was *James* *Bond* *100* ("One-Zero-Zero"). Approximately a year later, Bond is promoted to "0-Agent"(Oh-Agent) status, with a number between "010-099". Some believe his number was *James* *Bond* *066* ("Oh-Six-Six"). His last mission as an "O" Agent is "Operation: Silencer". The tail end of which, is portrayed during the pre-titles sequence of the "Casino Royale" film. At the age of 31, Bond is promoted to "Double-O Agent" status, maintaining his default cover name and new cryptonym *James* *Bond* *007* * His very first mission as a Double-O Agent is the novel called Forever and a Day The Connery/Lazenby/Moore Era Timeline establishes that Bond was a Double-O Agent for 23 years. Bond was married to "Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo"(Tracy Draco) in late December of 1969(according to the Connery/Lazenby/Moore Era Timeline). They were married in Estoril, Portugal at Tracy's father's estate. She was murdered shortly after the wedding reception by Irma Bunt, as per Ernst Stavro Blofeld's orders. Bond also had a son with "Kissy Suzuki". Kissy named him "James Suzuki". They moved to New York when he is 10 years old(around the time of "Licence to Kill", "Moonraker" and "The World Is Not Enough"). * Bond had little contact with his son. Although he started paying for his son to attend the "New York University Stern School of Business". His son managed to get a job at a well known Japanese bank. James Suzuki was poisoned by "Irma Bunt" posing as a bag lady. As he entered his apartment building, on the corner of 75th St. and 1st Ave, she subtly cut his left forearm with a barber's razor coated with fugu poison. He died at the age of 17, when Bond was 56. Bond manages to find "Irma Bunt" and shoots her dead.

First of all, James Bond is not a ''womanizer''. It's generally the women who come on to him, so if anything the women are actually mananizers! As well, when he ''comes on'' to a woman it's usually to get information from her pertaining to his mission. If anything, Bond is actually quite temperate when it comes to his choice of women. He could actually have more women but instead turns them down.
