I used to own a Sterling 827SLi, it was a fantastic car, so cool looking but the electronics for the headlamps were wonky. But the only issue I ever had.

For armor I would have used the US and Canada idea of Ice with saw dust kept frozen with chillers. You can easily hold back a bunch of rounds with that and is not as heavy as steal, easy to replace and fix, and well very very cheap.
