This short industrial film was part of a Chevy promotional series called Impact '66 and features James Bond (named James Bland in this piece) meeting Dr. Yes. Corny but fun.

I love the way these cars come bone stock, with wheel covers and all. Don't see these unmolested very often, nowadays ...

I hate it when my hood pops up and a flare gun goes off. It really ruins my day.

I know this was a Chevrolet commercial. But I like this anyway. However, I did have a guy who owns a '66 Chevelle SS 396 tell me that the Chevelle SS finished in 2nd place overall for points combined. It was close behind the Olds 442, the winner for that year with the most comfort. And this test car had factory A/C was well as power steering and power brakes. The other 2 cars have all 3 of those semi-"performance compromising for the straights" comfort options or was it just the Chevelle and the GTO maybe having power steering and brakes and the Fairlane being maybe a power steering and manual brakes car? You never see any of the Fairlanes that heavily optioned, at least nowhere nearly as much as the Chevelles and GTOs. So, yeah when them Chevelle 396s did reach their potential, the results would be very much like this. Never had anything against Ford and don't care if someone else like Fords the best. I don't mind Fords. Plus I think the 390 fairlane wouldn't have gotten beaten by that much by the Chevelle and the GTO, but they both did have a bit more horsepower. And I really like the '66 GTO as well. The highest percentage of my favorite domestics just happen to be Chevys.
