Here's a bit of trivia - the reason they still use dot matrix printers for printing forms like that is because it transfers the ink to the paper through an impact on a ribbon of ink. The impact transfers the printing to the other copies. If they used a laser or ink jet printer, there wouldn't be any force to transfer the printing to the carbon copies.

Whether Craig will do another Bond is up to him. 1 more film on contract. The media took the "Rather slash my own wrists" quote and used it out of context to print bullshit (as always), as he had said it as a joke because they had been filming a hell of a long time. I think he'll be up for another movie, which should be good because he is a great Bond. Daniel Craig playing Bond has never been the problem. He's always given a great performance. He has suffered a little like Brosnan did. They can play Bond very well, but the rest of the movie is largely appalling or sub-standard. The pair only have 3 good movies (Goldeneye, Casino Royale and Skyfall) between them, yet are still great at playing Bond. What I hope, is that they use another director. Sam Mendes keeps using the origins of Bond and referencing back to prior films. It worked well in Skyfall but in Spectre it was tiresome and very irritating to watch (one of many problems it had). They need new story, without reference to Bond's past or constant attempts to fit in as many references to the old formula of 007 and the best way to do that would be to write a different plot and remove Mendes, who did a good job bringing it back, but is definitely not the man to take it forward. Casino Royale was Craig's best Bond movie. I don't count Quantum of Solace as part of the franchise because that movie suffered from the writer's strikes and a number of other issues that made it unwatchable and it helped kill the studio. Skyfall was the second best for me. It resurrected the franchise after dying from QOS and was in general a good movie. However, Casino Royale tops it because Bond actually had an assignment rather than dealing with a personal threat to M. It managed to make some references to older Bonds, without it being too overt as it has become now, didn't have to rely on set pieces for things to happen, unlike Spectre, where the entire plot progresses solely from set pieces, meaning it is very formulaic and lacking in intrigue. The characters too were better. Le Chiffre a much better villain than Waltz (who is the better actor, but they never developed the character, making the whole performance quite flat by his standards), the women were also a huge problem in Spectre. In Casino Royale he seduces the woman and uses her to get to her husband, in Spectre, he shows up and basically fucks her without any seduction needed, which was really weird given they barely knew each other and she was a widow expecting to die. Then we have the Bond Girls. Vesper Lynn was waaaaaay better than Dr Swann (I can't even remember her first name, which says a lot). Vesper was an intelligent person who verbally sparred with Bond the entire film on an equal footing and reacted as anyone not used to murder would (which was when she became "helpless" but we can believe it because she works for the treasury and isn't used to killers and violence, being a civilian forced to help steal the money to save her partner). Swann was supposed to be empowered. She was familiar with guns and violence, as shown on the train when she uses the gun. They briefly empower her in the fight against Batista (who by the way, could have been an iconic henchman, but we barely knew his name and his schtick was not consistent, 1 minutes it's thumbnails, the next it's a double barrelled pistol and then it's pure strength battering Bond before dying, a waste.) but instantly remove that when she and Bond go and fuck. From there on in the film, she is helpless, despite knowing how to use guns and admittedly killed a man when she was young, which is contradictory to how she is portrayed (e.g. holding Bond's hand when leaving Oberhauser's base when any trained person would've picked up a gun and worked to get out of danger together). The love story between them felt forced as well. With Vesper, it was the focus of the film and it worked because of that. Spectre was a disappointment in my eyes, not the worst film ever, but definitely a lot worse than it should've/could've been. Also the opening set piece, with the parkour in Casino Royale, was the best opening sequence to any Bond of this generation.
@ElleBbi8 жыл бұрын
+Röss Lämönt Even in Spectre woman (played by Monica Bellucci) gives fundamental information to Bond: thanks to her he can find Waltz, discover the organization, starting his investigation. But in "Spectre" the screenplay was virtually absent, and as you said the character of Waltz was flat, empty. Monica Bellucci was totally wasted (and voluntarily "aged"). The other woman (Lea Seydoux) has a personal story (maybe too much!), so is a more worthy character, but their relationship is pathetic and steals too much time to the rest of the movie... In short, Spectre seems like a film for children 8 years old! The relationship of love(?) is pathetic, very forced, not intense, and some important people are just mentioned. The upside is that this movie contains many ideas for the next one... All the characters remain alive: the villain is caught but not killed, and we know that the Italian widow had to be brought to safety, but we don't know if it actually happened then. 'Action scenes, a childhood romance, dialogues and screenplay poor.' Here are the ingredients of Spectre. Beautiful cast, but misused... I have read many comments about the movie in social networks... and literally from all over the world viewers have complained about the lack of presence of Monica Bellucci, and this gave me a lot of ideas, but I'm pessimistic... My dream is that in the next movie there is the same cast, but director Stefano Sullima, and Sam Mendes for the action scenes. It will never happen. :(

To answer the clerks last question: Those fanfold printers have the lowest risk of paper jams, and those needle printers enjoy the cheapest ink that doesn't fade on the receipt. But they are also slow and require recycling the cut off edges.

What's funny about this in 2021 is the way he says "Bond, James Bond" is exactly the way he is saying it now in NTTD. Awesome!

That'd be funny if the ending was after Bond left and like 4 dudes in ski masks come in saying with guns pointed at him "Where is he?" RentalCo guy: "Please wait" "No, tell me where he is!" RentalCo guy: "I'll be right with you" and it just goes on for like 30 seconds and then illegal RentalCo guy: "Hi, welcome to RentalCo, how may I help you?" "We're looking for a British dude that just passed here!" RentalCo guy: "I'm sorry but I can't help you with that, do you need a car?" "Ugh, fine, sure" RentalCo guy: "Oo, I'm sorry but we have no available cars, a British guy took the last one" "Where'd he go?!" RentalCo guy: "I don't know" "Why don't you know?!" RentalCo guy: "Because it's not my job, duh" "Ugh, fine, we're out of here!" RentalCo guy: "Wait!" "What?!" RentalCo guy: "You forgot your receipt" "For what?!" RentalCo guy: For talking to me "Ugh, fine, give me that!" RentalCo guy: "Thanks for renting from RentalCo, have a good day, hope you buy from us again!" Endscene
