Note that these bridges were all tested as superstructure bridges, with the weight held on top, rather than as the substructure bridges that most real bridges are. In reality, this means the results you got were not representative of what the bridges' efficiencies really would be had they been full-sized, functioning bridges: most of you bridges were under compression, not tension like real bridges, and so failed sooner. Also, your second bridge failed because of torsion, which you could have prevented by adding a few more diagonal crosspieces. One more thing to add: I have made many model bridges (for competitions) out of 2-millimeter basswood sticks, and all of them earned efficiencies around 1400-1800. 277 is not much to be proud of. P.S. Try building a Pennsylvania K-truss bridge; I have found that is, in general, the strongest design for a light substructure model bridge.

The K Truss would have been much note stronger by reinforcing the bottom. It began to twist most likely at the bottom. Thnx for the designs btw. I really took a liking to the K Truss

For the Warren, 40kg / (0.12kg)^2 = 2,800. The others are 1,700 according to that formula. With more significant figures, the numbers come out to be 2777.8 and 1736 respectively.
