I'm from the 90's but boy Am I glad my older yet wiser father who may he rest in peace in Heaven, taught me amazing music. All the way from James Brown/The Beatles/Billy Joel /Neil Sedaka/The Eagles and so many more legends. Mr.James Brown has to be one of my favorite performer who no matter at what age he was just always knew how to dance and move any crowd regardless of age to wanna move their whole body to his music.
@ednoroirika4 жыл бұрын
That brother rhythm was untouchable. You see how simple he made coming down that ramp and going into his shuffle look effortless? That’s not easy! I just watch a video of someone that tried to copy James. Nope!

This man among others shaped my love of R&B. He is the reason I started listening to WCHB and WJLB in the late 50s and continued for years. Born in Detroit in '47, raised on the southwest side and the "informative" years at the 20 grand and other Motown hot spots The nightlife in Greektown, Mexicantown, Livernois, West Grand Blvd and the East side was outstanding. What a great time, enjoyed every blessed minute.

These songs CANNOT be performed any better than this. Jackie Wilson? He would be the closest to James, but if he had tried this medley, it would have been obvious who was the real Godfather of Soul.
@JaySmith-mz7vg3 жыл бұрын
Lol. Well those are HIS songs, I don't expect others to outperform him. Jackie was much better vocally though and performed his songs equally as well.
@drewshepherd76013 жыл бұрын
Jackie was better in my humble opinion.
@ThePanther97 Жыл бұрын
@@JaySmith-mz7vg Him being vocally better is simply your opinion, I much prefer James Brown's vocals. James Brown had incredible vocal range and was a brilliant singer, a lot of his songs pre 1965 going back to the mid 50's show just how expressive and vocally rich his singing was and he was truly unique. The famous "It's A Man's World" from 1966 only showed a bit of how expressive and vast his vocals were and that alone was powerful.
