eh, an actual mechanic would have opened hp tuners, changed injectior constant, set the fuel pressure and started his truck, not just wash the rings down for the a few pops. James is cool and all but he knows nothing anyone else wouldn't know after spending years doing it. you don't really see him diving into different shit than ls's. the mod motor timing chain was about his limits. that's pretty standard flat rate daily mechanic stuff.

Electric water pumps are great on skid cars too because you can shut the car down and leave the pump going to cool it all down. Add that to the big radiator, electric fans and large expansion tank and it should be reliable.
