The Avatar franchise is such a daunting task that will apparently have movies out in the 2030s. Only inevitable that theyd lose key members of the creative process along the way. Unfortunate how young some have gone. I hope the series works out to movie number 5. It always felt like Cameron's passion project and it had a massive team of contributors

2:33 I guess someone completely misunderstood about that 9-hour material statement, and then just ran with the distorted message that it's a 9-hour rough cut for Avatar 3 that could be arranged into a theatrical cut + an episodic series cut. Glad that got cleared up. 🙄
