Vikram Oldham Hila is openly a pretty shy, soft spoken, and not exactly in her comfort zone when on camera or the center of attention. Ethan is very aware of this and does his best to make sure her opinions and input gets heard and appreciated. Ethan’s presence is a lot more dominating than Hilas so whenever she does put in an observation or an opinion on something, Ethan makes sure to acknowledge it and reassure her that what she had to say was interesting/relevant/ a good point in general. I think it’s sweet that he does his best to make sure she doesn’t get left in his shadow during these things.

I think the main thing that outsiders are missing is that James specially told tati he didn't like sugar bear hair and that everyone who worked with them is a sell out. Tati has never paid anyone to talk about her brand but she offered James charles a paid opportunity to work with her brand. She felt compelled to give this opportunity to him because he was a son her to. Then as Coachella, he completely blind sided her and glossed over the fact he did an ad for her competitor. I also think the community is supportive of tati because she is so unproblematic and has never wanted to be involved in drama. But as always, love you h3h3. Keep up the good work aye.
@OldSchoolDudeGaming5 жыл бұрын
Hold up, almost no one really cares about the products they advertise. Lets stop pretending. I've heard people talk shit about products and then years, if not months later advertise them as the second coming. She's just throwing in other things to make it seem like she's not wining about her product (which no one forced her to have) isn't being slung for free.
@markbergin88215 жыл бұрын
I think the problem is that a lack of integrity arguably doesnt warrant this violent of a backlash, compared to other youtubers who have done objectively worse things. Even taking into account his alleged pressuring of guys and dictating their sexuality, it's not nearly as bad as other people, who got away with it, and even grew during the drama. Should say that I dont like James Charles, I still think hes scummy person for his action with sponsors and his "kink" for straight men.
@alexbarbosa46665 жыл бұрын
obviously not So? Regardless, it's none of her fucking business? Who is she to bind a 19 year old kid to his words and then make a video "exposing him". She wouldn't have brought up those personal issues about the kid if not for him supporting another product. Tell me who's the real snake here? The 19 year old kid who said he didn't like a certain product and then went to support it? Or the absolutely delusional 35 year old bitch who claims to be like a mother figure, knowing about his personal life issues, and then throwing that in the internet's face for fume for an unrelated matter in which he chose to promote one snake oil bullshit product over another. You guys taking either side in this are all fucking delusional and clearly struggle to see the actual fucked up shit in this "internet drama".

I think the whole betrayal aspect came from James saying previous to all this drama that he wouldn't advertise Tati's vitamins because it wouldn't be appropriate for him to do so with such a young audience. When offered something in exchange, he suddenly had no problem advertising her competitor, which is notorious around the internet for not working.
@carlangelo6535 жыл бұрын
Friend or not business is business. That's the way it is, what I see as an outsider is that Tati wanted advertisement from James Charles, she didn't get it, now she got bitter and made a hit piece. From my point of view, both of them are suspect and horrible people. Both would be willing to back stab each other just to further their agenda. James chose the sugarbear stuff to further his career, Tati made drama to further her career. All this drama from Unregulated vitamins.
@samjeffcoat42745 жыл бұрын
This is clearly stated in her video and so many channels talking about this issue don't bring it up. I really feel like it's the one point that explains why she was mad about the vitamins. Because he lied to her.
@treeanimation3685 жыл бұрын
@Fluffy Bunny She never expected him to promote her brand She also never asked for any monetary exchange She was mostly upset that he lied to her face and sold himself for a company that he had talked trash to behind doors and on top of that is her number 1 competitor
@JordanSedai5 жыл бұрын
@@carlangelo653 Tati said she'd give James a sponsorship to promote her brand (and she also mentioned 100k as a number, but maybe not for that case). So if he wanted to further his career, it would have made more sense to go with her, it would have given more than the passes and security were worth. But maybe in the moment, he was just desperate for it and saw it as a higher value. The point is, he isnt principled (he did their brand but not hers when he said it would be irresponsible, especially bad since he said he didnt like the other company in private) and possibly doesnt have his priorities straight (breaking principle, thereby inherently lying to to Tati, who was also a friend... And as she said, al for a good time.). Also, its not their fault the vitamins arent required to be regulated. Even if they went out of their way to have a third party review of them to raise credibility, the two brands likely wouldnt use the same third party and therefore they wouldn't be comparable anyway.
@notleah87005 жыл бұрын
Fluffy Bunny but she never asked for advertisement him anytime prior. James was getting on his high horse about not being able to do. And if you think it’s inappropriate to advertise to young viewers these type of products but to it for free tickets then you have no integrity.

MrGabo98 the “so” is because Ethan’s main sticking point seemed to be that Tati was upset about something that occurred while *she* was a guest in someone else’s home as opposed to it being the other way around. Tati didn't minimize James' struggles, she was defending the woman that James was insulting, Marlena Steel is the CEO of Makeup Geek, and she put sweat and tears to make his brand successful, James was insulting and calling her out because he thought that Netflix should take him instead of her to make a show about the beauty community. She had to do this publicly because James was controlling the narrative behind the scene, he was talking to other drama channels making him the victim, she didnt want him to manipulate her narrative. And remember that each community is diffent.. the gaming, the animation, the beauty.. it is very different the way they interact with each other, it is very well known for the beauty community to backstab and use eachother for clout, Tati was one that kept in her lane not wanting to do anything with that, thats why she was so hurt that his dear friend James hurt her by using her. Finally, i have been a long subscriber of yours and Tati, and I can say that you just don't understand her character, and her as a person, but i respect your opinion.

But after that time the predator allegations came out(which she had warned him about multiple times)along with the tour price outrage(she warned him about being greedy with money) and the meltdown people hide over the Met Gala. *It was not even a "quick buck":* James was not paid for the damn sleeping vitamins video, it was him returning courtesy for the company that has provided him with a pass to an event while he was attacked in the waiting space. hurble burp they aren’t all a scam. The thing with vitamins is that you only need them if you’re deficient in nutrients. If you eat a decent variety of food and don’t have a disorder that causes lack of nutrient absorption, you don’t need to take vitamins regularly. However some people do need a boost for whatever reason, permanently or temporarily. For example, surgeons regularly suggest or prescribe vitamin C supplements to assist in surgery recovery. Many doctors suggest that women who feel weak on their periods take iron supplements to help cope with blood loss. It’s perfectly normal to need vitamin supplements. And in the case of skin and hair supplements (usually containing biotin, vitamin A, iron, etc.), some people may not consume enough of these vitamins or have trouble absorbing them out of food. Multivitamins have other nutrients that assist in absorption so that it helps where you are lacking. They’re not “all a scam” at all. If anything, the scam is just brands who suggest that they are useful for everyone, but not all brands do this.

Spilling the tea is actually the T. T is for truth. It's a word that comes from drag queen culture.
@whatdoesthisthingdo5 жыл бұрын
Let me guess this straight T represents truth for the culture of men who dress as women and they call spilling the tea “spilling the T” which means spilling the truth. Did I get that?

Tati was caught out for lying about the situation with James. It’s backfired. jeffreestar has also apologised to James since he recently uploaded his " no more lies " video. Tati switched off comments since she was proven to be lying about what happened. Just waiting for her respond.

I'm not surprised. Tati always plays the victim and people falls for it. Btw...im not a fan of any of these "beauty gurus". All of them are toxic and manipulative imo. I'm not subscribed to any of them.

I love the podcast but so many of the small details they don’t understand/got wrong, bc they admitted they aren’t really in the loop in the beauty community, make it hard to agree with their points bc they don’t really pertain to what everyone was complaining about with James and Tati

About the "minimizing pain", imma give y'all some context just in case. James got in a controversy a year ago or so, where some woman (who was the pioneer of the beauty industry on KZbin) threw an amount of money youtubers were asking for to make promotions on products. James got pressed about it cause he thought it was "irresponsible" to do that, and he went in on this woman, he minimized everything she has done for this platform, and then he started to say how he wanted to do a documentary to expose the beauty community on KZbin; which is extremely immature and disrespectful to do just because you are pressed about an amount you have probably asked for. Not taking sides, just giving context.

What was the name of this woman who was a pioneer of the community though? Would really make things easier to find this.

@@DallySkyeAnims no problem. It was a really big topic and from all the creators, James was the only one who made a really big deal out of it, while he could have just clarified it wasn't him who asked for that amount (which made him look even guiltier cause who gets that pressed about something they haven't done anyways?). And just because Marlena was asked by Netflix to collaborate on a project they had, James had a tantrum and dragged her pretty awful, saying how bad she was as an influencer, irresponsible, not suitable to make a documentary at all, while saying *HE* should be the one doing it. This was one of the tweets: “This woman knows nothing about the industry other than blaming her bad business decisions and personal issues on influencers. @Netflix This is absurd & I’d love to get in a room together to show you the non-bias outline I’ve already made on this subject that documents all sides" And the documentary wasn't even about that, it was about beauty teachers or something like that, wasn't about drama. Then he claimed how Netflix "stole" his idea and how everyone is "unfair to influencers".
