Communities in the UK? Explain that to me. Do you seriously think that when Liverpool play any team outside of the elite ones that Anfield is full of scousers? Let me tell you, it isn’t. It’s full of foreigners. Football hasn’t been about fans for 20 years. 80 quid a ticket tells you that.

The problem is like a lot of people he is jumping to the whole its only about Greed aspect having totally ignored what the governing body for Football in Europe with the backing of the European League operators and each countries governing body have been trying to do to make them more money off the back of the big clubs who without their revenues for the Champions league would be lucky if its 20% of what it currently is. They choose to ignore the feedback of the clubs and only backed down on their plans to basically create a UEFA super league WHEN rumours about a breakaway emerged and their compromise reform isn't much better which the clubs told them and they ignored. There is a reason why the whole ESL process seems so badly planned and that's because while there is some self-interest it's not just that, its them losing faith in UEFA having the best interests of the game and this being the only card they had to play to either make UEFA listen or break UEFA's hold over European Football

Deserves the upmost respect for saying it on a show in a country that doesnt nearly understand or care about this sport as much as Europe does and it was truly brave of him to do so. @@dangler1907 Americans won't ever get it.The NFL is just like the "Super League" with 32 instead of 20 teams.. What you are talking about is if teams from "Super League" broke off again from the "Super League" to form the "Super Super League". Let me explain it for you. The NFL has 32 teams and nothing else no relegation, basically nothing. Europe has around 100.000 teams in football. From really low tier backyard football to the 1013 professional clubs. And the beauty is that any of those 100.000 clubs, literally any of them, if they are good enough through time and ranking up could someday get promoted to a league which grants them professional status and perhaps someday even win the champions league (which is if you don't know the 32 top teams in Europe from the past season from all countries.) with the only requirement that they play good enough. That's what happens when you have such a perfect system. And what those guys tried is to ruin it with an American-like franchise based closed league where teams can't get relegated or promoted, thus making the dream of your low tier backyard club competing with them someday non existent. It's what this sport is all about. The dream if you and your mates are good enough, you can push your team, your local community team perhaps, to the highest heights. That's what football is about. That's what they tried to ruin. That's what you don't get. And please unless you guys form actual leagues with promotion/relegation don't ever mistake your entertainment frenchises with actual sports or competitions.

Why do you have to write "Really" and see him as "Passionate"? To you, it means something real and true. Remember how passionate some people were in Germany in the '30s and '40s. Most football fans have little more than sports in their lives, especially with the coal miners and poorly educated boys in the UK. It is an acceptable form of war between cities for, mostly men, who NEEED something larger to identify with after they found less attraction in their religions. Ask yourself this: Is being in a group a sign of individual strength or individual weakness? Then look at yourself in the mirror.

Don’t know why people think Americans don’t care for the sport or what’s going on because we do. You all would be surprised we are just as devastated as the European fans. Tons of us are born into families who support teams in the premier league, la liga, serie a the same way you all do. The only difference is you guys are privileged enough to live in the cities where the stadiums are and get to be apart of the atmosphere and us Americans for the most part are not.

@payton58313 жыл бұрын
We do care. Just so you know. The Americans who are fans are super fans because we don't get to live with the sport in our daily lives. What we get from the sport we seek on our own. We thirst for it. To see a sport no matter what kind, where they take from what actually made it what it is and ruin the spirit of it is a disgrace. It's a shame what these owners are doing. In some part it's up to the players to put some love of the game ahead of money as well. The superstars of the sport need to stand up for their fans. Choose not to play for teams that do this and then see how long it lasts.

@@mHANIF-xl3rx Not true. All those sports were called football originally. They all have the same ancestor(s) in the UK around the 13th century. It was called football because it is played on "foot", contrary to polo for instance that is played on horse. And in the Middle Age, lots of variants were played without kicking the ball with feet.

If Uefa did care about the small teams, why did they let City and PSG invest billions and give astronomical wages to any player they wanted, they stole the greatest players from the small teams UEFA pretends to care for and got away with it. The market got inflated on UEFA's watch when PSG gave 222m to Barcelona for Neymar, from that moment, every player's value got doubled overnight while the revenues remained the same.
